I watched some tape of T-Mac and I am not impressed. He seems like a big, lumbering oaf....[but I say that about all the big WRs(!) and many of them turn out really good]. I would be happy with T-Mak in the second or later but definitely not in the first round. Taking him at 4 would be insane.

2nd round? Not a chance an athletic freak like him dips past 10. Like you said, many big tall number 1 WRs end up really good and teams place a premium value on them. We didn’t when Brady was here because he was the GOAT, but Brady ain’t walking through that door anymore. Drake Maye is, and he needs a weapon to succeed

It's risky because Jags could easily go Will. I'd rather select the LT at 4 and then BPA at round 2 even if that means double dipping at LT because we can always move Will to LG. WRs are not the strength of this class either but the bigger need is a LT.

That’s certainly a viable scenario too…unless Carter is somehow there at #4.

Actually there is doubt…a historically awful wingspan. And no way should campbell be a top 4 pick.

If you want a tackle, you go with Membou or Simmons after trading down.

They better draft a LT in round 1 or this is a big mistake. Kraft can go into the vault every day and see the stack of money he decided would protect Mayes back side.

Then better make sure you draft a player who is physically equipped to play tackle in the NFL. Membou or Simmons.

I watched a few minutes [hardly a thorough analysis] of Membou, and he was blatantly holding on every play. Hands like glue. That will not work in the pros; you need to hide the holds. No way would I take Membou anywhere; there must be LTs in the draft that have better technique.

This isn’t Caeden Wallace, who spent 4 years on the right side at PSU, was drafted at 24, and is a marginal athlete. This is a massive 20 year old who was tied with Campbell as the most athletic linemen at the Combine. And he’s going to end up being the first tackle drafted, and that almost always goes to a guy who is projected to play left tackle in the pro’s.

If the rookie isn't ready to play LT at a high level to start the season, then they're playing Lowe, which I don't think is anyone's idea of a good plan. I think they're going to take the safe pick rather than the one with the highest ceiling. I don't know if they think that's Campbell or someone else, but I'd be surprised if they didn't take someone who has played LT at a high level in college.

I think they will go for the ceiling. You don’t get better than everyone else by taking safe first round picks, that’s where the most upside is, and you need to exploit that.

OT a #4 has GOT to be a non-starter just on principle. Much like the QB situation, there isn't anyone available worthy of the pick. So while you might pick a QB even though the value isn't there, given how hard it is to pick QB's and how important the position is, it is LIKELY that there will be one or two QB's picked in the first 4 picks this year. You cannot do that with an OT, especially when you need a LT and the player you are looking at isn't physically ideal for the position.

I don't have a problem with Campbell or any of the other top names, or taking an OT first, just not at #4. If Hunter, Carter, or Graham are there you have to go with them. If OT is your presumptive need, then you HAVE to trade down.

I'm reading that while this is not a very deep draft at the "blue chip" level, it IS deep at the next level. There will be a lot of NFL starters taken on the 2nd day and it wouldn't hurt to have another shot at one.
