Take this with a big grain of salt because I can't find where he said this, but Reddit claims Breer said the following:

“With the Patriots most likely being out on Cam Robinson’s asking price of 15M a year, sources report Eliot Wolf has suggested an LT by committee approach.”

That sounds like negotiating via the media, but yuck. Closer by committee... tackle by committee... The whole thing reads like they don't love the available pool and the price of same.

Very skeptical that the only issue here is annual cost given their cap position.

I think it's more nuanced. Robinson supposedly gives questionable effort and wants 15m. Is he dramatically better than Lowe, at 5x the salary? Sounds like he might not be.

Is this the reddit user that keeps posting fake quotes as rage bait? The reddit post is deleted, and the tweet is either deleted or (more likely, in my opinion) never existed in the first place.

Gotta be ********. Tackle by committee will get Drake Maye destroyed, and a very promising career will come to an unfortunate dead end.
Protect your investment, get a real tackle.

I think you're right. The internet makes it so much easier to keep up on news but it also makes it so much easier to get fooled by fake news.

Tackle by committee does seem like a very John Henry Red Soxian idea.

Vrabel is not going to allow the ****show that was last year to happen again. Some won’t like it but Campbell is the guy. He’s gonna start at LT and do a solid job. Need a solid starting C or LG and the OL will be massively better than last years failure.

Still a little puzzled why we didn't bring Robinson or Wills in: considering our Need at the position. Rookie Linemen are no grantee and Lowe is just not Good. Asking a Rookie Offensive Lineman or WR to start right off the bat have its challenges. I'm not saying we can't get lucky: but I would feel a little more comfortable with a guy like Robinson in the fold.

Dream on Vrabel unlike BB uses metrics which say Campbell projects as a Guard.
