Probably because most organizations save the trivial stuff for last. A clear indication that the NFL considers tampering unimportant. An exception would be if the Patriots actually tampered themselves.

Technically, Woody Johnson didn't tamper with Revis. He slipped up during a media press conference. It was an honest mistake, and had no bearing on the outcome of Revis' FA options.

Having said that, I think we're screwed regarding deflate gate, because we got caught red-handed and that hand a DIRECT effect on the outcome of our playoff victories. I'm tired of winning with these asterisks.

BS, he did it before with DeShawn Jackson last year and was warned by the league not to do it again. At the press conference in December, the PR person started out by saying that he couldn't discuss players under contract w other clubs and then Woody did just that. He knew exactly what he was doing. He can't claim ignorance.....

I do agree with you that the Pats will likely get screwed. And IF they do, it is time for Kraft to call in those chits with the other owners and get rid of Goodell. How many times do you have to get screwed and have the brand damaged before you respond????
