And in all likelihood loses it by the end of 2027.Vrabel had better be right about Maye.
Milton takes that Cowboys job by the end of 2026, book it.

Milton never "won" the QB2 competition; he was QB3 behind Brissett even in Week 17.Frankly they would have been much better off keeping him as the back up. Not paying Dobbs his contract and having the cash to throw around, but maybe because they already paid the money they felt the need to make a move? Keep in mind they had Milton for 1M, 1.2M and 1.4M the next 3 years.... Dobbs cost them 2.9 and 4.75
We'll find out in 3 years if it continues to be a big deal to you.because the last regime wanted to develop him to be a #2 QB.
This one has Dobbs and will likely use the pick to draft Vrabel's #3.
=======
This is certainly not a big deal to me. Vrabel probably wants a #3 QB, and he would rather choose his own. He secured an extra pick tjhat could do that (or use a 5th or 7th).
Also, it makes sense to add a 6th before the draft since we didn't have one.
Does not mean they had to give him away
Take your trying to start and argument on Brady v Milton and my GM proclivities someplace else. Your the one that drew comparison. I never said ****. Have a nice night. My only comparison between Brady & Milton is their desire to be a starter
You prefer a backup who is happy holding a clip board or as you call it. “Knows his place”!
With you at GM Brady would have been traded for not “knowing his place”
Yeah, this isn't the 'we were overwhelmed by the return' trade.I don't like the trade either, but if they felt he was going to get cut at least they got something. Its a joke that people are up in arms that we only got a late 5th and gave up a 7th. Let's call that a 6th net pick. Some estimate that 10% of 6th rounders and 5% of 7th rounders make final rosters. We didn't really give up or get anything. The new 5th round pick is like a lottery ticket. You need a ton of luck to hit on it.
If it was that, it removes the Zappe vs Mac circus that the fans created, many on this forum. I don't blame the team for doing it if that is the case.Yeah, this isn't the 'we were overwhelmed by the return' trade.
This was the 'Get Milton off the roster" trade, and the "We don't need anyone else but Maye" trade.
Sure. When i said back up i didn't mean to imply he was ahead of Brissett last year. Brissett has NFL starting experience in this league and a lot of it. I don't think I implied he won that job per say. Just that he was the perspective back up before Dobbs came here. But maybe that could be considered unfair as there was no competition for the job yet.Milton never "won" the QB2 competition; he was QB3 behind Brissett even in Week 17.
7th round is probably right. I dunno about the last pick. They'll have a guy in mind.I disagree, unless they take someone with their last pick. Wasting draft capital on the QB position in this draft is insane.
Was it a circus, though? If it was that, it removes the Zappe vs Mac circus that the fans created, many on this forum. I don't blame the team for doing it if that is the case.
Well their last pick 233 or whatever it is.7th round is probably right. I dunno about the last pick. They'll have a guy in mind.
Sorry but just because you've been an OC in a local rec league does not mean you know what system, scheme, language, etc they will be using. No Vrabel is not wrong. I did not misunderstand what they said. I have called plays as an offensive coordinator for two seasons in a local league. You do not understand the differences between the systems.
If I compared the two you shouldn’t have much of a problem reposting it.Take your trying to start and argument on Brady v Milton and my GM proclivities someplace else. Your the one that drew comparison. I never said ****. Have a nice night.
If Mike Vrabel held a grudge against an organization because he lost to them he never would have progressed to where he is. Not to mention blaming the team that kicked your ass is just being a *****i could see Vrabel saying "nah" to the giants... he was part of that '07 team...
I'll bet that offer was only marginally higher, say a mid-5th. If it were for a 4th, and both offers were at the same time, I can't imagine passing that up no matter what the reason. But Vrabel must have wanted him gone for some reason - otherwise we hang onto him at least till draft day in hopes of something happening. The Pats should have held a pro day for him and invited other teams' scouts for a fresh look. Not sure why people are so miffed that they passed on a "better offer" (probably a 4th) to send him to his preferred destination. Is it worse for the team? Marginally so, yes, but it also buys some good will for the front office. Players on the roster or who sign to the roster in the future will appreciate this, knowing that the team isn't conducting cutthroat business and always taking only the very best offer even if the player hates it.
I am very happy for the kid. I understand why they traded him, avoid a potential stressor in the QB room. To the people that think we were getting a higher pick please remember that Fields who was a much better prospect and actually had some success in the league vs actual starters was traded for a 6th.Milton grew up a huge Cowboys fan ...
I think fans should be happy for him ....
Right now he backs up Dak if he shows ability of course.
Belichick waged a border war with the jete for decades... the Hatfields and McCoys waged war for 30 years...If Mike Vrabel held a grudge against an organization because he lost to them he never would have progressed to where he is. Not to mention blaming the team that kicked your ass is just being a *****

Read the transcript of what Josh said and what Vrabel said earlier this year. Tell me where they say they are running the old NEP EP system.
Wrong. Keep track of who you're fighting with, old man.You said a backup QB “needs to know his place”.
