We have a 3rd overall pick and Brissett on this roster becuase of Bailey Jones. That QB duo couldn't move the ball to the 50 far to often last season. We just were not talented at the position. Yes agree zapp does have experience and will have his chance to compete in camp for a roster spot. We don't know how fast Drake or Milton will acclimate to the NFL. It's all on the players. Coaches can give Xs and Os, footwork, fundamentals. Ect. However it's on the player to go out and execute. Zappe has had extended opportunities to show if he could be a QB worth investing in. He and Mac were both over overdrafted. Whoever starts will have had to earn it through camp. That is best way to approach it.

Zappe isn’t a starting QB: he’s a backup QB. I don’t know why you are continually speaking to me like I’m a Zappe apologist. I actually hope they release him tomorrow and sign a vet backup so we don’t have to cover this ground again.

The only reason I would put Milton in over Maye is if the problem is the OL.

Nah, I'd rather ruin Milton if it comes to that. Unless they're sure Maye is ready he needs to be holding a clipboard. Until they're sure Maye is ready he needs to be holding a clipboard. if Brissett gets hurt, the penny-wise pound foolish option would be to cram Maye under center and hope he can get it done. That's how Joe burrow and Justin Herbert got most of the injuries that are holding them back now and Trevor Lawrence is headed in the same direction.

Wait until you're sure, THEN put May in. In the meantime QB3 exists for a reason.
