Well, I thought it would be a semi clever way to proclaim that my thinking process diverges ~ often dramatically ~ from 99.9999% of the rest of us...and to make a tangential reference to this Great Game, as well.

I like to think that I've never been different for difference's sake: We all want to "belong."

But ~ to paraphrase Cora Munro, as voiced by the exquisite Madelaine Stowe in Last of the Mohicans ~ I'd rather make the most egregious error, than ever abdicate my own Judgment.

Good point in the OP. Spikes' processing speed and his ability to read the quarterback and/or diagnose the play before it happened is what made him such a great linebacker. I've said it before, but he was almost a ballhawk of a MLB at Florida. I'm looking forward to seeing him mature in our system.
