Does anyone doubt the thinking in cutting him any more?

He's out for a few weeks with a knee sprain.

Still don't miss him though.

He's their starting safety, but he's injured. Why would his being inactive today remove doubt about the thinking in cutting him last year?

I don't think this really means anything, but I never had a problem with the Pats cutting Meriweather. He wasn't coachable and his production was declining sharply.

You can make a very strong argument that the Pats left the safety position really thin, too thin. And I agree. But that doesn't mean that I think they should have kept Meriweather. He was not a productive player and could have had a negative effect on the other younger players in the secondary considering he refused to do what the coaches asked him to do.

If I didn't know it was because of injury?

Of course his 2011 season was a good clue too.

My mind was pretty well made up by the time we made it to the Super Bowl.

Whoever BB wants or doesn't want on his team is fine by me.
