Brady's knee makes World News Tonight

Yes. I like Kevin Faulk and Logan Mankins. I also like my seats and the cheerleaders.

Why? The Meadowlands sucks and those Jersey scags are nothing special.

Yes I agree. But to say that ABC = ESPN simply because the same corperation owns them is a little to rash.

Yeah that's a little silly. The only scenario I could think of where the anti-Pats bias carries over is if ABC News uses ESPN and its "reporters" for sports-related information.

Yes. Which is seriously something I doubt. I would think Disney gives them fair range to run their networks with a relative degree of independece. ABC's news coverage doesn't seem a whole lot different then before it was bought by Disney and the same with ESPN's format.

Unless we start seeing the anchors wearing Mickey Mouse ears, I wouldn't worry.

I saw them all.

My man Bill Russell was the greatest Boston superstar winner, but he was not a tenth the MEDIA & fan celeb that Tom is.

Wow, twice in one week - we agree 100%.

I also have seen them all and while Bill Russell did more for his game that TB for his and won more championships that anyone ever will in any sport, Tom Brady is by far a much more "super celebrity" in comparison.

You might want to go to abcnews.com and check to see what 4 letter appear with their sports link.

So because Disney merges aspects of it's properties, means that some of ESPN's rediculous writers also taint all of ABC news?

Not all of their reporting, just their sports reporting. ABCNews doesn't have a sports section. All of their sports news is fed to them from ESPN. Just like CNN sports is SI.

So ESPN's biases automatically become ABC News sports biases.

I'll concede to that. What's the point of having their own seperate sporting news branch when they can so easily affiliate with ESPN and not bother to actually look into the stories themselves. Even if they really (REALLY) should, I can understand why they don't.

Never been to Jersey, cupcake. Have fun surfing the web on a Friday night, see ya!

Um, I'm married with two kids and very happy with my life. So, thanks!

I agree though Bird and Orr came the closest ,IMHO to the public interest they have with Brady. Brady does have an aura around him that has not been seen before, even in sports crazed New England.
I think that the reason that Manning wasn't mentioned is that they know which one people are interested in to drive the story. People tune in for Brady more then Manning it's that simple.

Okay, from the "for what it's worth" department:

The wife (medic for 15 years, no, not a sports doctor etc. etc. etc.) did say "if he's on antibiotics for six weeks they must be thinking osteomyliasis (my spelling... um, that's bone infection.))"

Then she made this really concerned face. So after the whole "yeah but given who he is..." objection, she conceded that yeah, okay, maybe that's why we're on 3 operations and 6 weeks of IV antibiotics [PS, "gotta have a chest port."]

So in conclusion: uh, I still don't know a damn thing more than anybody else. Worst case is real real bad, as in, hello Matt Cassel. Get way better Matt and soon.

Obviously, best case is still get better, Tom, and see us next season.

Nothing new here, except a little recognition of the tail end of downside scenarios. I don't know the relative likelihoods of any of them, and I'm not fond of "sky is falling" analysis. Just saw the thread, and related a conversation.

PS, don't bore all of us with derisive sh** about the wife's medical credentials/lack thereof. That's specified up front for a reason.

They used it to report on hospital-based infections.

Of course, they don't mention that it happened to Peyton Manning, too.

And they end with the statement that as a result of the infection his rehab "will be months longer and more painful."

All I can say is--how the f*** do they know that for sure?

World News Tonight?

I didn't think anyone watched that anymore!

Guess I was wrong....

OH-MY-GODDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!! HOW DARE THEY!!!??? It's ob the headline worked. This site is very funny. If anyone says anything that CERTAIN pats fans don't want to believe could be true, out come the insult and the denial.

NO buddy, it's the fact that the most knowledgeable doctor in the country said the exact opposite. Just like last year when all the lies came out about the Pats filming the Rams walk-through.

So did you believe those lies too?

Do you believe this story as well?

I also like to go out on Friday night, so I'll let you casanovas sit here and whine about me all night, on Friday night!

Tootles.

I read an article that said that men who say "tootles" like to putt from the rough...do you believe that as well?

my 2c:

- forget all the lies and half-truths. Isn't it amazing that our QB is considered so important to be mentioned a few times on prime TV and not just on some sports channel?

Imagine how irritated the Colts/Gints/every-other-person-who-hates-the-Pats feel on hearing that.. That thought itself is making me

- In a way I am glad that news on TB is taking a lot more spotlight and affording the Pats to fly under the radar a bit. Don't want the media showing for the 1000 time MC's pictures as a toddler and trying to convince that he had zero role in our win last week.

No. And why are you reading material that outlines what Gay men do? Do you read publications like that often?

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.
