Brady vs Manning

Sorry folks but the numbers don't lie. Manning is 4-10 against Brady, he's 9-11 in the play-offs to Brady's 17-7, and he has one Lombardi to Brady's 3, by any measure Manning is clearly the better QB. Maybe someday Brady can even the numbers up so he is in the discussion but as of now Manning owns him.

He never left, early in the season it was awful drops and they were physically weak. Gronk and the emergence of Edelman changed that

He was referring to my post about Brady in freezing cold against the Ravens, not this year.

Brady first 7 games 2013 158/286 1708 yds 8 TD/5 Int rating 75.0
games #8-11 99/145 1188 yds 9/2 rating 108.1

When evaluating Manning against Brady you have to throw out last night's game, as well as a bunch of others, it was outside. Tell you what, put them both in absolutely perfect conditions and Manning does much better.

Football was never meant to be played outside. Bronco fans simply can't wait for the retractable roof to get done at Mile High, when they have the ball it closes and when the opponent does it opens back up, it's a work of art.

No Gronk, 3rd down/Receiving Back out injured, Amendola out, 2 rookie WR still getting accumulated with the system

games #8-11 99/145 1188 yds 9/2 rating 108.1

Gronk back, Vereen back (for the last 2 games)*, Amendola in, rookies have progressed and have looked more comfortable

*Vereen in the receiving game the last 2 weeks
22 targets
16 rec
125 yards
14 of his 16 catches have moved the chains.

not sure what you are trying to say put brady in a perfect condition with great WR corp - he breaks all kind of records

traditionally brady always have put monster numbers in indoor.

I am saying that it is unfair to evaluate Manning when he had to play that game outdoors.

Actually Brady plays better indoors as well. The overall numbers are tainted by the amount of indoors vs outdoors.

He never left, so what are we going back to? He's always been great and that never changed. Only the personnel around him has.

Brady's clearly in decline. We have the threads around here to prove it.

Sigh, we were talking about something else.

Mike Freeman has a fun article on the comparison, even if it's a bit sloppily reasoned: bleacherreport.com/articles/1864245-epic-victory-for-brady-over-manning-shows-whos-best-of-the-epic-quarterbacks

As for the rest:

All men are mortal.
Tom Brady is a man.
Therefore, Tom Brady is mortal.

But when the circumstances are difficult -- weather, injuries, scoreboard, whatever -- I'd rather have Brady than Manning.

It was a cool matchup and great game to watch.

He'll be declining, again, when we lose our next game and then revert back to goat status after another win.
