I was just out on an errand and the 98.5 guys were saying not a great day for Brady. I totally disagree. His throws were amazingly precise. The number of big drops -- Woodhead, Crumpler, two big ones in OT by Hernandez -- didn't help. He threw a spot-on bullet to I think Edelman at around the one that #11 couldn't hold on to when he got popped.

He did have two picks -- one terribly bad one and one on the Hail Mary. But I really thought this was a terrific game by #12. Not in the Fantasy Football sense, but in the NFL winning sense. Vintage+.

Thoughts?

He didn't have a "terrific" game by any stretch, but the playcalling and the drops surely did not help.

lots of drops..lots of killer penalties too..the first pick was set up by a penalty making it a longer conversion

Wonder what him and I think Suggs were yelling about to each other? lol

very well said.....playcalling was (as seems to be "always" nowadays) was sh)t overall......and the drops were awful. That having been said, Brady's reads were not the best....and had he simply RUN for it from the 10 (or whatever it was)....He would have gotten the FIRST late in the game that I believe could have sealed it and prevented OT......His decision making overall was very Un-Brady today......

3 or 4 terrible underthrows on short passes today.

He definitely was in sync with Branch, though! The mind-meld survived the 4 year absence.

I thought he was great. So many fantasy football players now that we don't know how to analyze a game other than looking at the stat sheet.

Just what sticks out most from my mind:
- Great job of moving in the pocket and finding Branch on the TD pass. Great patience.

- Awesome throw to Gronkowski on 1st and 20 right as he was getting drilled (and a little trash talking to Suggs after) for a 19 yard gain

- Looked like he made some nice audibles on one drive (not sure which) to run right with Woody. We got a few consecutive big pickups there.

- with the exception of the throw he bounced to Welker that made no difference, he was on the mark in OT. Drilled Hernandez in the hands multiple times, perfect throws to Deion on the play-action and Welker as well. Awesomeness.

Brady was ICE what do they know?

Hernandez dropped 1 clutch pass 2 overall

well he was low on a few passes to tate on comeback routes. had a couple other throws which werent perfect. but for the most part he carved up a really really good ravens defense. brady was pretty good

This game reminded me of the Pat's teams when Branch played for us....oh wait....

It was a solid game considering it was the Ravens. Would have been a great game if not for the awful pick and the low throw to Welker in OT that could have gone for a first if Welker didn't have to scoop it.

The drops definitely didn't help, but still there was room for improvement with #12. I think I am spoiled though with Brady in saying that. But I think unless this defense somehow becomes 2003 like down the stretch, we are going to need vintage Brady to make a Super Bowl run against similarly good teams.

Tom Brady didn't have a great game stat-wise, but he was clutch. People lets realize how big-bad the drop by Hernandez was, this could have and should have been over earlier

nope brady did NOT have a great game today

but its a credit to the rest of the team that we can win against a team of the raven's caliber even with brady having a so-so game

he made some clutch throws in the fourth.

Luckily Branch just suddenly revived his career at the most opportune moment and Woodhead turns into a household name. Apparently those things had nothing to do with Brady.

People are out of their minds.

Bradys first pick was more of a great defensive play than a horrible play from him. They way they designed that play was just amazing. Great job by the Ravens DC

Brady shouldn't had thrown up a prayer into triple coverage, but still that one mistake doesn't mean he had a bad game. How many drops were there today? 7? Brady was fine outside of the skip to Tate and the pick.

It wasn't a great game, but he was solid, and played much better in the second half and OT. The numbers would look a lot better without all of the drops that continue to plague us. I think Wes had 2, Edelman and Alge at least 1 each that I remember, and obviously Hernandez had a few big ones.

I loved that he got fired up after the big hit though, that he didn't back down from Suggs, that he was so pissed he threw some half-ass lame block attempt a few plays later that made me laugh. He wasn't spectacular, but he got the win. Reminds me of the good ol' days when he wasn't a fantasy football star but just found a way to win games. I'll take that any day.

Brady played well.

But I wanna know, what was up with him blocking after the handoffs? On 2 plays he did that, I don't ever recall QB's blocking like that. On the reverse he was looking for someone to block and you can expect that, but anyone else know whats up with the other plays?
