Like I keep saying put yourself in Toms shoes..........they guy takes WAY freakin less on his contract. The front office sticks it up Toms you know what and fail to resign NOT ONE but BOTH his starting WR's then sit on their hands and 10-13 million in cap space.
If I took less money to play with a team, I'd expect them to do the same with others to be fair. And they turn around and start paying other guys above their value, after I took less, then I'd be pissed.

I hear what you are saying, Felger has been yapping about this for months, but it really is backwards. He'd be more pissed of otherplayers got more than their value. And no, because two teams thinks a guy is worth six million and 30 teams don't, that doesn't make him worth 6 million. It means two teams are either desparate or poor accountants/judges of value.

If I were Brady I would tell Pioli that he is a ******* moron! Get rid of my two starting recievers that I have had a great relationship for the past 5 years. Honestly, I don't think Brady is being vocal enough. If I were that frustrated and had told the team, and still no changes, I would call them out to the media. Sorry Patriots management has lost their ******* mind in terms of player personal.

I guess you and zippo have never played competitive sports have you? Do you know what its like to lose not only your best recievers but one of your good friends as well? I guess not, you think that anybody can be plugged into the Pats system and produce results. Some of you "fans" are extremely naive and the Pats are going to struggle big time. Brady as a QB has finally hit the wall because of the Pats upper management. Look for a 9-7 season this year, if their lucky.

No one is saying there won't be struggles...in fact most are echoing the line of the teams struggles are largely due to an adjustment period. But to act like the FO is completely removing all weapons from Brady's offense is ridiculous. The first four picks in last year's draft were spent on offense. The tight group is probably the best in the league, and includes two first rounders. The offensive line is said by Belichick to be the best he's ever had, and also includes a first rounder. The running backs incude one of every type, the power back, the shift back, and the receiving back, and have also acclaimed by Bill as the best he has ever coached. The WR's are now big and fast. Gabriel and Jackson might well be steals. The offense is absolutely loaded, the team just has to adjust to learn how to use them.

Our reaction also had to do with the perculiar nature of your post, full of curse words directed towards the VP and team which has built a dynasty in an era where most thought it was impossible.

And another thing....why should the team give a damn about personal relationships between individual players? This is a bussiness, as we are often reminded when a player shows loyalty or emotion as they screw over one franchise and run for the cash. But somehow there should be a double standard where an organization is supposed to respect the emotional side of the game and show loyalty and regard to its layers and their feelings? That doesn't seem right to me.

I guess there is no way to argue with this.

Only because its one of the biggest overreactions I've seen on this forum since I joined.

You are a frigging turd if you believe Brady should start talking to the media giving articles for Ron Borges and Mike Felger bashing the organization.

What a ******ed idea. Keep 'em coming Archives.

Plus talking about value. I think someone needs to look at how we determine value..Biesel, Chad Brown, Steve Martin, Donald Hayes, etc.

I never said BB and SP hit a home run on every player they bring in. Sure there are busts. But overall, you can't argue with what they have done. I can live with a Donald Hayes now and then if it means I get a Rodney Harrison too.

And I know Givens worked hard. I wish him well except when the Titans play the Pats. But I refer you to what I also said in my last post, namely that I firmly believe we WOULD have kept Givens if we knew how the Branch thing was going to play out. Jackson was brought in to replace Givens. BB fully expected Branch to honor his contract this year. We did not plan to lose both our top WRs this year. That would just be stupid. The pats may not always be 100% right, but it's not for lack of planning.

I'm pretty damn sure that the Patriots would have offered Branch a good deal if he played this year and was productive like the previous season but he decided he didnt want to honor his contract and came out looking like an arse hole to some people.

The bad news is that the blog on Projo is reporting that Brady's demeanor in the locker room today was also a concern!

Has anyone else looked at that blog? It's just dreadful. They're trying to turn it into talk radio -- two bloggers reacting "controversially" to one another, using the fact that they have a male and a female blogger to call it He said/She said.

So here is what "SHE Said":

"No less an expert than John Madden commented during the game that the Pats' offense wasn't playing with passion on Sunday night. And whose job is it to instill that passion, to stoke that fire? Brady's.

Like I said before, I don't think he can't right the ship. What I am saying is something isn't right with the man, whether it's between the ears or mechanics or his Hollywood girlfriend hasn't been around much lately because she has a new TV show."

You can't take this seriously as reportage, can you? The opinion seems to be based on nothing more than echoing John Madden (!!!) I think Shalise Manza Young would be an embarrassment as a message-board poster.

How would another embarrassment stand out?

it's pioli who should explain himself to tom.

this little session was obviously to give him talking points on how to handle the barrage of Deion questions. tom's been pretty open about things lately and last night he took a more political tact...which was definitely smart. Our media doesn't need any extra fodder, given the amount of b.s. they manufacture on their own as it is.

you really think pioli would make it his job to give tom an "attitude adujustment?"

can we clear up a rampant myth: it's not a lack of TALENT, it's a lack of RAPPORT.

THIS WILL TAKE TIME. Our contingency plans weren't supposed to kick in until next year.

With apologies to Felger, here's the REALITY:

your top-2 speed threats basically walked into the offense two weeks ago...one isn't on the field, the other doesn't know the routes, and your go-to guy is troy brown...and you're playing a defense that is playing pretty well...not sure what you people expect.

it's called a transition.

good news?...we'll make the playoffs.

Can't say I'm not a wee bit worried, because hey, anything -- even bad things -- are possible.

But 100% in agreement here. Who was in camp? Reche and Troy, period. Chad didn't make it in the game, and Gabriel is doing his best with minimal knowledge. After Cobbs showed up in Denver, Shanny probably had more knowledge of BB's playbook than Gabriel that game.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. I said elsewhere here: bottom line is -- wahhH! -- we are not the best team in the NFL right now. Also as I said: we CAN be that team by end of season. The difference between CAN and WILL, is why they play the games.

Re Freakin Lax.
