If you include Caldwell vs. Andre Davis at #3, I'm with you - at least thinking it's reasonable.
Everyone needs to remember that yesterday was little different offensively than the regular season game vs. Denver last year (nothing until we were down big). And that we scored 3 points (that's 3) in the first half in the playoff game.
For whatever reason, Denver's defense kills us. Even with The Twig and Givens.
I agree with this also. Also, I think the Dillon injury was a bigger factor than people think, against a smaller, faster front 7, having a downhill RB like Dillon would have been a big asset. If I'm recalling correctly, he wasn't in past the first series and we didn't have him at all in the first Denver game last year.
Its just easier for people to look and say, yup, told you so, losing the receivers killed us, without stepping back and saying sure, we're not BETTER for having lost Branch, but is that really what drove what happened last night.
1. Brady had a few uncharacteristic under/over throws.
2. Defense got chewed up by the run.
3. Defense didn't get off the field on 3rd down.
4. Defense didn't cause any turnovers
5. Defense had them pinned against their goal line 3 times, didn't get the stop.
6. Never established the running game.
But because it makes for good print/radio/message board discussion. People will say. We're not good on offense because we lost our top 2 receivers.
