Brady: 'I've been very lucky' - Extra Points - Boston.com

Also note he is also on pace for lowest sacks ever. One irony I want to point out in association with this number is that he has thrown a high number of snaps out of empty sets (45 or so, I think) and has been extremely successful, so paradoxically that is his best protection.

Good, I hope he blows everyone away. And xfingers crossedx the OL's been really strong and consistent, I think the rest did them good and Sea Bass is stepping up quite nicely TFB's definitely back.

He is starting to look better and more comfortable on that knee each and every week.
Right after the bye week last year is when Peyton finally looked normal.

Mods, thanks for the edit in the title... I couldn't find out how to do that.

Thanks I'll do that next time.

The difference between this year and 2007 is Chris Baker being a better blocker than Kyle Brady and Sebastian Vollmer being a better third tackle than Ryan O'Callaghan.

I sure hope not. we just started to move the ball thanks to some balance. If we go back to pass happy because we got uncranked against a couple awful teams, we deserve what we get.

Not going to happen again. We caught the league off guard by going to the spread/shotgun so much in '07.

I think it's a lot more balanced now and as soon as Brady gets into a groove, we'll be in a great position.

Our D is better than '07. That's the part I'm most excited about.

I hope not. Records are swell, but looking back on that season, teams started to get our number at about the 3/4 pole, Maroney had one fine game against Sandiego, but otherwise our formations, play calling or whatever became predictable and our last few games were really tough.

I am not convinced we are balanced, though I am encouraged.

Yes, I am excited about the athleticism on D, especially the secondary.

The numbers thus far are artificially high because we just pasted a couple of worthless teams. I'm not sold that the high scoring machine of 2007 is back and won't be until I see it against a very good team (both offensively and defensively).

Having said all that, I hope I'm wrong.... not for the stats which I could care less about, but for how it will increase our chances to win it all this year.

I also think are more balanced than 2007, but the injuries at RB are not helpful in that and could push us towards the pass happy ways of that season.
