Does Brady win NFL MVP in 2021

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
All I know is that against the same teams Rodgers had a significantly higher winning percentage. That is, against the same defenses Rodgers was better. And he didn't define what he meant by a "good defense." It could mean teams with fewest yards allowed per game or points allowed.
What are you talking about? They only played the same team 4 games. So nothing is significant. By the way the defenses that Brady played compared to Rodgers was based on DVOA. I mean what would you like, defense against the pass? How about QB rating for defense? Lets check that. Here is a list of the QB ratings that the defenses held QB's to during the year for both QB's.
Brady
Cowboys 3rd
Falcons 26th
Rams 5th
Patriots 2nd
Eagles 23rd
Bears 32nd
Saints 4th
Wash 28th
Giants 12th
Colts 14th
Atlanta 26th
Bills 1st
saints 4th
Panthers 22nd
jets 31st
panthers 22

Rodgers
Saints 4th
Lions 29th
niners 25th
Pitt 11th
Cincy 18th
bears 32nd
Wash 28th
Cards 19th
Chiefs 16th Rodgers didnt play
Seattle 20th
Vikings 13th
Rams 5th
beras 32nd
Ravens 27th
Browns 11th
Vikings 13th
Lions 29th

So lets take a look. Rodgers faced two defenses in the top 5.
Brady faced 6 teams in the top 5!
So lets take total to get average defense played.
Rodgers average defense of what QB's ratings were against them 22nd.
Brady 15th
Strength of schedule based on defenses per DVOA, Brady 2nd Rodgers 23rd.

Damn I hate when I have to bring out actual facts.

I’m guessing Brady will be the first QB in history to lead in wins, yards, TDs and still lose MVP

I’m now convinced that if you replace Brady’s name with Manning or Rodgers in 2016, they would’ve won MVP over Ryan

Also set the single season record for completions.

Well no he doesnt, but thanks for stopping by. I mean realistically Brady could win mvp every year. I know you dont watch their games, but he is flat out there teaching school to these young guys. There is no more valuable QB on any team. He is basically the coach and the QB. Rodgers is out there handing the ball off and then throwing 1 yard td passes. Sorry its not even close

Try again.

Rodgers - 13 TDs of 5 yards or less (35% of his touchdowns)

Brady - 18 TDs of 5 yards or less (40 % of his touchdowns)

LOL against common opponents, Rodgers has a significantly higher winning percentage. And who cares about DVOA? It is not an official NFL stat. Bottom line is Rodgers is 5-1 against playoff teams, while Brady is 4-1. That is a fact.

Manning and McNair in 2003.
Of course Brady beat both in the playoffs on his way to his second Lombardi.
Oh yeah, the birth of Manning Face

I think that was also the year that it got really cold at Gillette vs the Titans in the playoffs. It was so bad one of the lineman for them was complaining about not being able to feel his feet.

Ah the good old days.

Good article from Kyed on the MVP.......

They dont vote, soooo...

I liked this part of the article.

"Rodgers played until Week 18 without starting left tackle David Bakhtiari. Bakhtiari’s replacement, Elgton Jenkins, filled in admirably, though, and earned an 82.3 overall PFF grade before tearing his ACL in Week 11. Rodgers also lost starting tight end Robert Tonyan midway through the season with a torn ACL, and Green Bay’s defense played most of the season without two of its best players in edge defender Za'Darius Smith and cornerback Jaire Alexander."

Wow....Here is what the bucs lost at various times this year. 4 Corners, 3 linebackers, 3 receivers, 2 running backs, RG, Gronk didnt play for 6 weeks. So, yeah not sure its going to gain sympathy for the injury cry for Rodgers

Pretty much what everyone is saying - it's a close race between Brady and Rodgers, with Rodgers having a slight lead. This is not open and shut by any means.

Guess who has more knowledge of football, a bunch of journalists or actual coaches/GMs?

I am just going to assume you know what an NFL exec is, but I guess not, its not coaches. By the way, writers vote for MVP.

When admins become trolls it's pathetic. I tried to block that crappy admin and realized you aren't allowed to block them. Perhaps that should be a new feature.

Once again, you miss he point completely. Kyed said he polled coaches, GMs, and players, all of whom have more football knowledge than guys like Hub Arkush, who probably never stepped foot on a football field at any level.

@Tottie
LOL, the sensitivity on this board is unbelievable. If the Bradyites aren't trashing Mahomes, Rodgers, Brees, or Manning, they are trashing Belichick. If anyone mentions anything positive about another NFL player/rival of Brady, the claws come out...

No you missed the point that none of them vote for MVP. Writers vote for mvp.

Who is trashing belichick? Anyway, speaking of trolls, why do you post all the time on a forum of a player you hate? Oh wait I jut answered my own question.

I’m going to narrow down your posts to just this sub-forum, limit the time period to just this season, and see how much you’ve posted in here. I’m honestly curious. Be back in a little bit.
