Anyone even thinking Montana is over-rated, let alone posting it in public, should be locked up for life.

1. played in a super loaded stacked team in a non salary cap era
2. went to 2 less SBs than brady
3. played much inferior defenses in the SB
4. had the greatest WR jerry rice for many years

his SB number is skewed because that broncos team had no business playing the stacked niners team. imagine what brady's number would be if we played a team much inferior than us.

of course, montana is all time great. but many people make him out to be the consensus GOAT. so that makes him overrated.

brady has done more, and brady has passed him long time ago. i've had brady at #1 since our 18-1 season.

Brady v. Manning is now over

Brady v. Montana will go on for years

With luck, one more year, until Brady's second back-to-back SB season

Montana was just so smooth and natural. He made it look to easy. But he was good, very good.

What Brady has done that is so different is that he has played in pretty crappy weather. Montana played mostly in good conditions and actually did poorly in the cold and rain.

Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever live on this Earth

The debate is officially over for me. I like that I don't feel there's any reason to minimize the others at this point. Tom's accomplishments do the talking.

I think Montana was amazing, the greatest qb of the post merger, non salary cap era, but think of the weapons he had around him. Rice, Craig, Taylor, Rathman, Clark etc etc etc.

Brady has never been on a team with those kind of weapons.

Brady is the greatest qb of the salary cap era.

The Ds that Montana won SBs with - 1981 2nd in points allowed,2nd in yards allowed
1984 - 1st in points allowed, 10th in yards allowed
1988 - 8th in points allowed, 3rd in yards allowed
1989 - 3rd in points allowed, 4th in yards allowed

Those Ds were damn good. Off the top of my head there were atleast two HoFers in those lineups
