You're quite obsessed about the Patriots, aren't you?
Oooops, I forgot. The entire nation is!
I am not, but this game is going to be fun.

What is there to envy about the Jets?
Well I don't really control the outcome of football games so who knows what happens. I watch football and hope the Giants win. If they don't so be it. I have been a Giants fan all my life and won't change because we lose a game the Patriots. The Giants are not a "fill in the blank." The Giants are a proud franchise who's late owner Wellington Mara proudly owned. The Giants are not some "Johnny Come Lately" franchise. The Giants have won 6 world championships (1927, 1936, 1938, 1956, 1986, and 1990). They have also been to the playoffs more than any team in history. The Giants owner Wellington Mara was instrumental in making the NFL what it today. Revenue Sharing was one of his ideas. Mara thought if the Giants had no one to play, than the Giants would be out of business. He cared about the NFL first than the Giants. Giants also have a wait list for season tickets that is over 100,000 people long. They have been sold out for years. We have season ticket holders that can trace their tickets back to the Polo Grounds. They are not a "fill in the blank" team. The Giants are the reason the Patriots exist. Remember the fans here used to be Giants fans before there even was a Patriots.
They are not the Giants.
You crack me up, we're arrogant because someone says who is a decent but nothing special LB? Then you come here struting your **** about championships won in the freaking thirties. Look, some Patriot fans do overreact. I took that article as a little nudge basicaly saying Brady is great, he just thinks he's the ****. You really think THIS team wouldn't turn that into something? I do, but then again I follow this team and udnerstand them a tad bit more.
How are the Giants the reason the Pats exist? No, New England had no team till way after the Giants obviously. What the hell else are they going to cheer for? It makes sense to root for the closest regional team, thats what a lot of the smaller states in the west side of America do, at least the people I know out there do. Your Giants aren't reason for the Pats franchise. I love when yet another fat lipped New Yorker comes here calling Pats fans arrogant. For christ sake, New Yorkers are the most big headed people on this planet.
I'm sure a franchise as pathetic as the Jets is so envied by the Giants.
C'mon now, think about what you're saying here.

They get to play in two meaningful games per season.
The Giants get to do that once every four years.
all games are meaningful. Arrogant one.
Man, we are having so much fun with you today!
(I wouldn't be surprised if the "Prince Charles" line isn't painted on the side of the plane bringing the Pats to New York today.)
If I were a Giants fan, I would be very worried today that my team had been suckered into going ba!!s-to-the wall in a meaningless game by a few sportswriters who think a Football is stuffed with feathers, as Bill Parcells likes to say.
Once they decide to "play to win" the whole game, there is only one good outcome, a win. Anything else is a downer going into a tough playoff game. What happens to their confidence if Seymour slams Eli into the ground on the first series or if Asante and Rodney pick him off on two of his first three drives? What happens if they are playing to win and trailing by 21 at the half?
Tampa Bay has been game planning for the Giants since last week. Instead, the Giants won't get around to exclusive game planning for the Bucs until Sunday or Monday.
What happens if Justin Tuck breaks Brady's leg? Same thing... season over.
What happens if Justin Tuck breaks Brady's leg? Same thing... season over. Trust me the Giants got enough for the Pats and the Bucs.
While it's not likely, at least it would have happened in a game that meant something to him and the team.
What happens if Big Vince breaks Eli's leg?
Giants improve.
16-0 is not the goal... the super bowl is. If Brady is hurt there is not Super Bowl. Brady has as much chance to get hurt as Manning. Manning has thrown picks before and it doesn't change his confidence. I am sure he knows he sucks. What is another pick or two gonna do. The Giants are running the ball. The Pats should place 8 in the "box" and make Manning beat them.

the giants and patriots share the goal of winning the sb. brady is trying to lead his team to an undefeated season, one of the great rarities in professional sports, so this game means something to him, even if it isn't the ultimate goal. eli is trying to appease a few idiot new york sportswriters.
