Brady is outstanding in so many areas, but what really separates him is his total command in the pocket. Few quarterbacks move within the pocket better than him. He has the ability to evade tacklers by detecting where pressure is strongest and moving away with just a few small, smooth steps… all while staring downfield at his receivers. His ability to slide smoothly in the pocket and get the ball out quickly looks easy, but only a small handful of quarterbacks can execute it well. I’m glad that even after all those years, he still is trying to focus his game, by working on his mechanics and footwork.
