Seriously, he won it by such a large margain, 49 of 50. that minority is so small that it's an individual. why does a single person with a differing opinion matter so much?

Relax, don't get taken by one liners that are meant to be sarcastic. Learn to identify them without relying on the presence/absence of emoticons.

Question: Has there ever been a unanimous selection? I googled it but couldn't find any information beyond who was selected (beyond articles in the last few years).

The most "valuable" issue confused one of the voters. The Pats are seen as a team full of stars now and Brady just being one of them. This vote sees Favre as savior of green bay. The argument is flawed because any playoff team that loses their QB is finished anyway. How can one be more valuable to their teams respectively than the other? The MVP is the player who has the most prolific season, which is Tom Brady.

The MVP no longer means the most valuable player. Brady obviously had a GREAT year. Favre did NOT have as good a year. One question is how many games each team would have lost if the QB wasn't there.

Now I would have voted for Brady. The MVP now means something different than it used to. In addition, I do believe that the patriots would NOT be a playoff team without Brady. However, this is more a reflection on my opinion of Cassell than of Brady.
