Boutte better not get suspended.

The big problem for Boutte is that he doesn’t play ST’s, and he’s at the back end of the receiving unit. It’s really hard to be the 5th or 6th WR on any team if you don’t contribute on ST’s. Douglas, Osborne, Bourne, Polk, and Baker are the first 5, Thornton and Boutte are fighting with Reagor for that last spot. They could decide to move Bourne and let Reagor go so they can go all in with young guys, otherwise Thornton, Boutte, or both will be gone.

TT is going to make the team IMO. He’s been performing well in camp and the team’s not ready to give up on a 2nd rd pick from a couple of years ago.

Between Reagor and Boutte, I’d probably go with Reagor right now because of what you said about ST contribution.

We’ll see how the rest of TC goes…things can definitely change.

When you consider the owners' VAST wealth, you start to understand just how small a fraction Goodell' salary is. It wouldn't be worth a single thought to fire him if they wanted to. WHICH MEANS THEY APPROVE OF EVERYTHING HE SAYS AND DOES.

Goodell is an employee of the owners and has done a fine job increasing their profits.

Goodell has done what he needed to do to increase profits by signing media deals, deals with players and by dealing with PR and political issues as they come up.

There is no need to choose between Reagor and Boutte. The 5th and 6th WR get no reps, so there is no reason to have more than 5 WR's. With Thornton, we already have Bourne on PUP plus the obvious five: Osborne, the 3 kids and Thornton.

I don’t know who or what ML football is but if the league hasn’t met or spoken to Rice then how does it know they most likely they won’t suspend him.

You might be right. I think they’ll keep 6 and then a decision will have to be made once Bourne comes off the PUP.
