Albert Breer still keeps trying to stoke the Terry McLaurin to the Patriots talk.
I love the guy, and think he's a worthwhile gamble for 3 years, but Breer is talking about a Diggs for McLaurin trade
I'd rather keep Diggs and throw in Bourne as a WR for McLaurin.
I don't think this will happen for the Pats, despite Breer's efforts (and I don't want to start the McLaurin thread again).
If Diggs is healthy as he appears, McLaurin is a luxury at WR, and they'll invest some of that cap space on a younger WR next season.
But if it DOES happen that's going to be a HUGE help for Maye's development and the team's ability to "win now" coming into one of the easiest schedules in the NFL.
Again I think most of us a really excited to see what we've got in the current crop of WRs in a rebuilding year, but one never knows....
McDaniels/Wolf/Vrabel/Kraft might see some value into giving Maye what McDaniels had last year to help magnify his growing confidence in the league. As mature as Maye is (or at least is probably trying to be as he's still a kid) putting him through another tough season may toughen in him in some ways, but nothing beats winning now, especially against a weaker schedule.
I'm not holding my breath but the Pats are wise to stay out of the McLaurin chatter as much as possible - but if it DOES happen that sends a HUGE message and that Las Vegas line would surely jump by a few games.

Patriots offer surprise superstar in gutsy trade proposal for Terry McLaurin
If the Patriots needed to further prove they're serious about being a competitive team again, this trade would certainly show that.
