Ya, something weird happened with Bourne over the offseason. Might be awhile before we find out what it was.

criticised Patricia in the TC for the ****ty playcalling/play design, got in the dog house bc no new input is allowed with such ****heads like Judge and Patricia and so the offense seems the worst in the league when it comes to scoring in RZ, guess Bourne might have had a point there with blaming Patricia (internally) for the output already in the TC

Curran has also speculated that Bourne was upset they traded for Parker and drafted Thornton.

Reportedly Bourne was critical of Patricia's implementation of the new offense in the preseason. Then there was a report of Patricia and/or Belichick in a heated exchange with Bourne in the preseason.

Bourne looks fine to me. His snaps and targets are down this season, that's irrefutable. It's also true that the quarterback play hasn't been good. Bourne was the team's best WR in 2021. He hasn't been given the requisite opportunity in 2022.

Oh good so you admit it it was Bourne and not Matty P. Why would Bourne think it was a good idea for his development to be critical of his new system and that a heated exchange would solve the problem?

Meyers was better than Bourne in 21 and still is. Bourne doesn't look fine to me he looks like he's regressed. Good thing is since preseason he has seemed to buy in more. It got some increased reps and I wish he did more with them. I think he'll get past it and contribute this year still and next year too. I dont think he's just going to magically pass Meyers and Parker which is what you seem to want.

Bourne has 2 penalties on the entire season. Both in the first half of the Detroit game, which they won 29-0. So I think you're being a bit harsh.

it was more than just penalties.. i was very pro-Bourne for like the first 7 or so weeks of the season, but something was going on with him
