9 QB hits week1 (11 hits if counting penalized plays). 11 QB hits week3 and he had to rush 6 times. 12 QB hits, 4 sacks week4. Our 23 year old rookie QB is already wearing a leg brace. Either change up the OLine, or change up the sh-tty OC, or do both...

"Jones caught the brunt of it... taking a beating from a defense that sacked him three times and hit him 11 times."

The OL was endlessly hyped as a strength, and 1 injury later it's an absolute disaster. The running backs got like 2.4 yards per carry and Jones is eating unblocked kill shots just to get quick plays off. He's not doing the rookie thing where the guy holds the ball out of confusion and gets sacked for the most part, it's just bad blocking. And he's throwing 51 times while also leading the team in rushing (!!!)

It's not quite Jets level dire, but after 3 games it looks pretty rough.

18 QB pressures today!! Imagine being Mac and rightfully having absolutely zero faith in pass protection. Last week you're roasted for doing the the right thing and getting the ball out fast (short throws). This week you keep taking dumb hits to prove to MEDIOTS and idiot fans here that you can make longer throws.

Bottom line nothing works with a garbage OLine. Blow the OLine up. I don't get why they had no problem moving Onwenu last year and even had Thuney play center, but this year the mythical continuity was so important. Durant sucks. Herron sucks. Even worse on the other side Wynn looks horrible at LT, Wynn doesn't even look like a starter-level tackle right now.

They should start hoyer or some other stiff until the line gets fixed. Still think they can 4 or 5 more wins this year but there's not much point in that if they ruin jones.

There were more than a couple of plays he held on to the ball because he was confused. Let's not sugarcoat it.

I said it when it happened, but why pick up an option for Wynn who goes on IR 3 years in a row? That was a terrible move.
Well, if they keep playing like this they'll have a nice high draft pick to spend on a new LT.

I do think there is a trickle effect with the Brown injury but Wynn has been bad and it seems both owenu and mason are suffering due to the bad tackle play.

Needs an infusion of talent.

Lazar and Perry, in my opinion, have been generating good insights and summaries. Here is Lazar:

"Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels’s game plans are uninspiring and lack anything unique for the teams’ new weapons. There’s very little motion or tempo, and the situational play-calling is at times horrific.

The explanation that it’s three games into the season with an overhauled offense makes sense because it looks like the Pats are calling plays in a training camp practice.

But we are on multiple seasons with this type of look offensively for McDaniels, and the excuses about lacking skill talent are getting old after Bill Belichick’s aggressive offseason."

We could have drafted Calvin Ridley and Nick Chubb in 2018. Ughh
It doesn't matter how good your WR is if you don't have an OL to give your QB enough time to throw the ball.
Matt Ryan had Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley on the field at the same, but really couldn't do anything with them because the OL was trash!

From what I am hearing here, I wasn't able to watch the game because I live in ATL, the same thing is going on with Jones.

Lets not forget.....
While Bill was overpaying for four offensive "weapons" this off season, he let Thuney walk because of his asking price and he bargain shopped for an oversized starting tackle with 2020 calf issues.
----------------
White was so critical to the game plan yesterday , both in his route running and his pass rush protection, and the team doesn't have a viable plan B for him.
JJ Taylor pass blocking?
Special team Bolden?
Mac no longer has a safety valve and protector

YIKES!

Why overpay 2 new TEs each making Kelce money if you suspect your oc is going to play spread shotgun no matter what...
Why bring Karras back if you're going to play scrubs Durant/Herron no matter what....
Why spend $150M in free agency but then cheap out on Gilmore over $, making your defense much worse ?
