Re: Lombardi: Pats have re-signed Bodden [Agent: "Rumors are premature at best"]

LaCanfora says it's 5 years, $28.5m, $10m gtd.

Shocked he didn't get more....

If true, curious to see the terms and payout schedule.

A little less than 6 mil a year, nice deal.

The 5 years tells me BB has confidence in Bodden.

Before anything is announced, I'm on record predicting between $20-25M, unless there is a huge back load. I'll say $8M guaranteed, $23M overall.

UPDATE: Looks like I was off, but much closer than the $8M annual predictions.

If he keeps playing hard like he did last year I might have to add a new jersey to my collection.

Great news, finally its done. I thinks its a fair price too.

Re: Lombardi: Pats have re-signed Bodden [Agent: "Rumors are premature at best"]

So if the Pats sign Bodden for under $5 million a year, I want to hear back from all the people who blasted the Pats for not giving him the $6-8 million a year he was reportedly looking for before free agency started just to lock him up and not let him go elsewhere to see his salary demands were out of whack with his value.

No need to rub our faces in it--after all it's only a million here, a million there....:bricks:

[Edit]: Lol, looks more like around $5.6M per--right about in the center. Certainly a good chunk of change but I'm really glad we did it. Springs is pretty much toasted, Wheatley has made a complete disappearance, and the jury's still way out on Wilhite.

sweet! thanks

I'm liking this board. Information is posted alot faster here than on patriots.com msg board.

Yeah.

We pretty much sit around here all day pressing F5 repeatedly.

amazing. I don't know what I would do without these msg boards. I'm in Toronto, and ever since FTA went down, I only get NFL Network (in standard def.) and thats about it. TSN covers hockey 24/7 which I could care less about.

Anyway, loving this forum.
