It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If Tomlin wasnt forced out by ownership Rodgers and Pitt would already be good for 2026.Who knows? Maybe it is because they are worried that since he still hasn't made up his mind yet when they expected he would weeks or months ago, they want insurance if he decides to go somewhere else since they put all their eggs in his basket.
Playcalling is a big deal with Rodgers and he already went through that with Mcarthy. The Steelers GM said he thought Rodgers would have made his decision by now. Rodgers could be waiting to see if a legitimate contender doesn't have an injury at QB that would need him to step in (see Denver with Nix requiring more surgery). Rodgers ain't going to the Super Bowl with the Steelers. He might have a shot if Nix goes to IR and he signs on there.

yeah they butted heads, but they also won his lone lombardi...
and thats a big ask, that type of loyalty... he was there 1 year with tomlin... and whats his status in denver? temp starter / back up til nix is back? can his ego handle that?
We'll never know because he didn't.Well if he played in the AFC Title Game, could had a different outcome for the Broncos and for the Patriots on the way to SB LX!
How’s the veal?So Nix's ankle is his Achillies heel?
Rodgers and Tomlin were tight. More than picture above. There is post game video of Rodgers and Tomlin walking off the field and Rodgers effusive in his praise of how many wins Tomlin had accumulated. You can believe otherwise and you can think that Macarthy and Rodgers had the same type of relationship, but its simplify false. If what you claim is fact then Rodgers would already be in Pitt preparing for the 2026 season. Instead, Pitt has scrambled to slap a UFA label on Rodgers. If all is hunky dory with Rodgers, there is no call to go and do that because he aint leaving. How can you say the first thing? Rodgers always has been the guy who does this no matter how happy or sad he was. He is a diva like Favre was who loves to go into the wilderness and leave a team hanging while they wait for him to make up his decision whether hev is going to retire or not.
There is no evidence that Rodgers has any more loyalty to Tomlin than he has for McCarthy. Rodgers loves to play these games and is always looking for the better spot for himself. Rodgers played for Tomlin for one year and it was a typical Tomlin season of a borderline playoff team that went one and done in the playoffs - the Tomlin Special. I doubt that Rodgers was sad to see Tomlin leaving the Steelers.
And Rodgers won two MVPs and a Super Bowl with McCarthy. I don't think Rodgers has as much issue with McCarthy's play calling as you think.

I would be really concerned if Drake’s leg looked like that. That does NOT look natural.
