DuJuan Daniels has accepted a position with the Patriots. .... The 26-year-old Daniels was the offensive coordinator for Indianapolis' Cathedral High School football team last fall.

Isn't that almost what one Chas Weis was doing ... before he hitched his star to BB?

I'm always amazed and delighted how Bill's network extends. He has so many people he's coached with or who have coached with those he's coached you'd think he wouldn't look further afield. But he does. Didn't Dean Pees get to know Bill by getting in touch about some issue to do with coaching defense (I know that he also worked with Saban)? Having got going as a coach himself as a "write-in" (even though Steve B. was a good pedigree) Bill still seems very open to bright young people who share his passion. I wonder how the Daniels connection came about. Maybe we'll learn in ten years time when he's appointed Head Coach of the Jets ...
