Goodell never said they did not record it. He just said their purpose was spot check for deterrence and not a study. He is saying that, he believes the Patriots removed about 0.1PSI from the balls because the pressures of some of the balls were too low and he truly believes that the integrity of the game is importantly and consistently important to the league. He holds this view without compromise and with the utmost respect for the NFL and the power given to him to sure that the integrity of the game is paramount, and that is is protected in its pure form so that everyone can play on an equal leveling field of consistency and importance.
