He also said that the Coleman pick was on McDermott and his staff
Then 2 seconds later Beane said he was also in on the pick and the video on draft night confirms that and makes Pegula look bad
And even if it was McDermott's staff (presumably offensive staff)... Brady was part of McDermott's offensive staff. So no matter which person you decide to blame, Pegula kept & promoted that person - the GM (Beane) or McDermott's offensive staff (Brady)

It is pretty funny seeing Bills fans losing their minds over this. They are NOT happy.

So let me get this straight - they fire McDermott who has consistently had one of the top Os and Ds in the NFL because he didn't have a good playoff or Super Bowl record

And Joe Brady does?

After this debacle Brady was the best they were going to do, short of making Josh Allen a Player-Coach

I had a feeling Brady was forcing the Bills hand when he went for a 2nd interview with LV.

I can't remember the last in house hire that was successful. Did the Bills not see why that experiment failed with Mayo? Does Brady have any contacts? These types of hires are lazy 99.9% of the time.

The defense is going to take a dip as McDermott was having them hold on for dear life with the lack of talent they had.

The most glaring need on offense is just WR. It shouldn't really be that difficult to address.

Josh Allen shouldn't have signed that extension before seeing the Bills address the offense. No sympathy for him.

They just hired Josh Allen's 4th string OC as the head coach.

Reactions on the 1st post of the thread reporting the Brady promotion on a Bills forum. Adding them up its...

We know the Bills fans can't do math, so thank you for your service.

Perhaps they weren’t all in agreement on Coleman. In any case, Pegula clearly wanted McDermott out with no SB. Pegula had his mind made up before the playoffs. That press conference really exposed him imo.

When a OC goes from OC to HC he better have "It" to have any kind of success. This Bills situation seems a little forced: it might blow up in the Bills faces. Stranger things have happened.

This team is starting to become dumber than the Jete. The fanbase is becoming more delusional too.

It’s weird but the Dolphins as much as we hate them might be the smartest of the three and they kept Tua

Another funny layer... McDermott came to Buffalo first in January 2017 under GM Doug Whaley, and then they brought in Brandon Beane later in May 2017, specifically because McDermott was familiar with him.

Then they fire McDermott, but keep Beane - despite Beane only being there because of McDermott.

Then, they keep McDermott's staff and replace him with his own guys... So basically, McDermott got the shaft big time.
