Just wondering... What you guys expect a 17 point blowout? Week one's are scarry... Remember Sam Adams high steppin a few yers ago?

I didn't post this in interleague because it seems kinda lame.

Re: Bills Pats... week one... ANY CONCReNS at all?

the Bills actually had a decent quarterback then and the Pats were reeling from the loss of Milloy.

yeah my only concern is whether i wear my martini pajama pants or my pats sweat pants.
My other concern is whether i should be drinking coors light or white russians.

I certainly do not expect a blowout in any game. I do think that we win.

First games of the season makes me nervous. Look what happened in Buffalo in the 2003 season.

BTW, the sign that I have up next to my sig is this weeks. It will change next week. I was actually hoping that the Bills would win all of the SB's that they were in because I knew someone on the staff.

He moved to an NFC team afew years ago.

My initial analysis of Buffalo: more talented than people think, will play hard, but lose the close games because of sub-par decision making at QB and an inconsistent O-line. Skill positions are actually quite good. I think Lee Evans is a legitimate #1 receiver, I think Willis M. will get his 1,000 tough yards, and I expect major improvement in the defense against the pass. However, they are little light up front on the D-line (I like Kyle Williams as a sleeper, always have) and I wonder if they will be able to stop a power rushing game, which the Pats will have assuming Maroney is healthy. I see the Bills definitely making a game of it, hitting on a big pass play or two to Evans, having the advantage as usual in special teams, Brady struggling a bit with the receiving corps and, if Maroney is unavailable, the Pats being mediocre on the ground. But I think one of the D-lineman will smack "Opera-man" around and he'll lose his composure as the game progresses and make the big mistake. 24-17 Pats, I take the Pats to win, Bills with the points as of right now.

There is one rule I believe every fan should follow.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE YOUR OPPONENT. WE ALL REMEMBER MNF AGAINST THE DOLPHINS IN 04!

the bills will have a better record than the dolphins this year

All very well but the coach with the disposition to pull the "Statue of Liberty" play on 2nd and goal from the 1 is now in Miami

worried about that useless distraction of the grievance meeting on the saturday before the game.depending on what comes out who knows the players mental attitude will be . this is like deja vu...pats opening against the bills and off field issues dominating news (like milloy and branch)

Stop it... Like the players (minus Brady) are losing sleep or concentration over front office crap. Do not build in an excuse... I think you guys will win already.

I am a little concerned. We still don't know just how good this team can be. We think they may be VERY good, but until we do it in a real game, you can't be sure what they are. I agree that Buffalo is a little bit underrated, and I hope Losman's good pre-season is a mirage. Pats take it, 27-13.

I give our defense a bit more credit than 27-13.

First, let me say, I respect and like most Bills fans. A close friend of mine is one.

The Patriots will win big, but to answer your question my fear would be injuries.

Yeah, and they also had Sam Adams.

Zero chance the Patriots can lose this game. The team is loaded.

Hmm, I do have a couple of concerns.

For the Patriots: I think the main one will be getting the new receivers to the point where they are of some use by next Sunday. It's a tall order, I know, but it simply has to be done or things could turn ugly for the offense.

About the Bills: It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where Losman is worse than he was last year. So, there should be at least SOME improvement there. The Pats best chance for success would be to go after the Bills' young, inexperienced secondary. However, as I mentioned above, the WR situation might make that a bit more difficult.

Anyway, if the Pats end up winning, I think it'll be a single digit difference in the score. This team probably needs a couple of weeks to get the offense clicking with the recent roster turnover.

This and the Jets will be exhibition games, the real season starts sept 24th

Well, if we win we win, and if we got 2003'd, look how that turned out. I'd be up for that.

My biggest concern is if I will get to see the game on TV or not. Unfortunately because I don't live in MA, I only see the big games like the Sunday and Monday night games plus a couple of selected games chosen from all over the country in the sunday 1 and 4pm timeslot. If I'm lucky, I get to see a pats game. If not, well I'll have to depend on you guys to let me know how the game went.

The comparison are way off here IMO...

- The Bills had Drew Bledsoe, who was coming off an impressive 2002 campaign. They now have J.P. Losman, who sucks.

- They also had Lawyer Milloy, who the Patriots had cut a few days prior, a move that motivated him and the Bills. He's with the Falcons now.

- They opened the season off at home. This year the Patriots are hosting the game.

The only way the Patriots lose this game is if they let Willis McGahee run wild on them and lose the field position game on special teams. I'm not concerned with that, though. The Pats should roll in this one.
