Generally complimentary. Think he’s more comparable with Herbert than Josh Allen. I’d sign up for that.

I'd say their takes are pretty on point. Tremendous flashes for a rookie, some costly rookie mistakes, and currently held back by subpar talent and inept coaching.

He’s got subpar talent at basically every single offensive position, and his coach is clearly developmentally disabled.

This one made me LOL

Would not sign up for that.

I think Maye might actually win playoff games before Herbert.

He was impressive. Then again, so was Mac Jones his rookie year.

But I think he will be much better than Mac Jones. And Tua.
Drake is actually having a better year than Allen was when he was a rookie.. Drake is more accurate and the guy oozes leadership qualities that can't be taught. I'm excited about Drake and I really believe he's going to be in the conversation of top 10 QBs next season..

Playing in weather conditions like that.. being a rookie, no WR'S separate for him.. the coaching, the OL... this kid is a dam baller!! Wolf better do the right thing and get him some guys on the outside or it's going to test the loyalty of many patriots fans.

On the coaching scale........

When you get ten wins out of a rookie QB like we did with Mac you get excited but with hindsight and considering what they both are surrounded by Maye's season is by far more impressive than Mac's was.

Maye makes plays that are freakish, like that dime to Boutte yesterday. That sort of thing should excite a fan base far more than Mac getting carried by Josh and by Bill's D.

Perfectly put. I agree. I'd rather Drake go through all the adversity now becuase it's only going to make him a better player. The guys got some leadership qualities I have not seen in a young QB.. he has an arm like Drew, his ability to command the LOS and hold his guys accountable is just impressive for a 22 year old. Drake has earned everything he's gotten as a pro and I like that the pressure is on the organization to give him what he needs in FA.

I’m not really sure if the INT was all on Maye. Maybe it was a bad read but it looked like the routes got messed up when Bourne got mugged.
Those PI calls on the last drive in the 4th quarter were make up calls for the one your mentioning.

Jones could never complete that first TD pass. Never.

Then again, the Bills defense is pure crap.

I think he's better than Herbert (and that's right now as a rookie). He's even more athletic and mobile. He's also an Alpha Dog! Maye is listed at close to 6'5 and 225. I wonder if he can add anywhere from 5 to 10, or even 15 pounds of muscle in the right places, without losing any speed and quickness. I know he'll add muscle weight in this and future off season's as he's now coming from a college program to the NFL and is only a Rookie. I'm just curious as to how much bigger and stronger he'll get, without sacrificing speed and quickness. He and Gonzo are what's keeping me interested since being a die-hard fan since the 1970's. I just hope that they give him a solid coaching staff and talent around him. They've been given a gift with him, and Gonzo is looking like a future "Best CB in the NFL" by far.

I started putting the kid to bed when they got to the goal line and somehow like 15 mins later we were still at the goal line

That was mind blowing to me. I know the CB elam is a bust for Buffalo.. but dam.. took a lifetime to score.

There’s not a defense in the NFL that was stopping that TD. It was perfection and was unguardable.

But after that throw, Maye struggled. And Im not really sure why. He also had a tendency to freak out when we brought pressure.

But overall - pretty damn good.
