According to the Buffalo News, the deal could happen in the next day or so.

That deal would leave the Bills pretty thin at LB.

Angelo Crowell is probably going to start at MLB, but he has never played the position before and is coming off a broken leg injury. The Bills really like him, though.

It also means one starter at OLB will be Keith Ellison, a 6th round pick last year whose performance they were pleased with last year. However, he is hardly proven.

The other LB on the roster are largely unproven and inexperienced, including coverted S Coy Wire. They have some good ST-types.

The Bills are very young and small on defense. They are playing the Tampa-2 style defense that emphasizes speed, but are very small and young on defense. Though Spikes wasn't the same player last year after coming off achilles surgery, he was their biggest and most experienced LB. They must think he won't make it back fully, although many others with that injury were better their 2nd year back.

I wonder what they'll get. Bills fans are probably nervous about whether Levy knows what he's doing, a lot of talent is going to be gone to start next season.

Did they ever replace McGahee ?

Deal with who??? It doesn't say...

No and no. Though it should be noted that the Bills have an extra 3rd this year and a 3rd next. If a team like Arizona, Washington or Minnesota is looking to drop some spots and collect picks, Buffalo could be poised to pounce.

There's enough talent at CB and RB to fill those holes in rounds 2 and 3.

With Fletcher-Baker out and dealing Spikes away, I think that theywill target Willis.

Will we use or 2 #1's to get ahead of them at #10?

I hope not. I have to admit I haven't seen Willis play that much but I don't believe there is a big enough gap between him and Poz to warrant giving up a 1st round pick for him.

I don't know what is going on here but I can tell you that it is favorable for the Pats: maybe Cassell can get some legitimate snaps in the 3rd/4th quarter and raise his trade value!

The one player I hope drops to us is Aaron Ross CB from Texas potential shut down with game breaking speed.

Ross will definitely be there.

where do you think he is going??

stupid crazy guess 49ers

There is a gap. Pos is questionable as as 3-4 ILB. Willis is, I think, the best ILB to come out in the past couple of years and there may not be another for a couple of more years.

We could move up to 10 and also get a third or fourth, if they are willing to trade. I wouldn't go that much higher though.

Drops to us? He might not even go in the first round, so I don't understand why he has to drop. If they pick a CB in the first it should be one of Revis, Hall, or Houston.

Belioli isn't going to do ANYTHING of what we expect. Watch he'll take another TE with the first pic and then a long snapper.

Well now that Ive said that - he ain't taking that combo (WHEW)

WR & RB

Depth baby depth

Why don't the Bills just cut out the middleman and forfeit the 2007 season already?

They lost Clements,Fletcher, soon Spikes,McGahee - 4 of their best players,What have the others done but for a few exceptions like Schoebel and Moulds and Losman every few games or so.

If Buffalo wins 4 games this year it will be a shocker

J.P. Losman initials this year stand for J.ust P.itiful losman

Shows you why you can't take 2 old coots,1 in the FO and the other the owner keep them in charge of a football team and have any idea of competing for a championship....Just dreadful

I can just here it now in about 400 days from now.... NFL Commisioner up to the mike 'As the 1st pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills Select....'

Someone convince me they may be anything but horrible...I know,I know in the words of Keegs..'On Any Given Sunday'

Spikes is going to be a New York Giant to replace a few guys like Arrington...You heard it here first :rocker:

OooooKay! What are they gonna give up?

If I was them get rid of that loser Manning,Buffalo could use a backup

Seriously aside from a few future draft picks I don't know,But I am fairly sure that they will sign him..The G Men are desperate for a veteran LB and the clock is ticking away on decent guys available.
