Bill vs TCU game thread

Bill coached one game and created a QB controversy lol

Bill is a bad coach without Tom Brady under center

No, that's not true. He was a good NFL coach for a long time and had a lot to do with Brady's success over the years. Taking over a mediocre college program at age 73 is another thing entirely. He just might be out of his element.

How is that lefty midget starting over a QB with SEC experience?

Bill hates QBs

Realistically talent matters more than scheme in college. It was always a questionable fit

I know Drake Maye is glad he left before BB entered the building.

I haven't followed this much, did BB's hiring help UNC recruiting/incoming transfers?

Max Johnson had some good flashes at LSU and TA&M

Max Johnson Career Stats - NCAAF - ESPN

But he's one of the 70 new players for UNC so I'm actually not surprised to see them look like this is pre-season

I guess that means BB can't say he inherited a mediocre team - there's only 6 starters left from last season

These are nearly ALL Bill and Jordon's guys - that being said, a little unfair to judge them at this juncture.

BB will get a pass on W/L this year as long as they're playing better by the end of the season

They had a lot of transfers and turnover, but not really anything you’d say was worth hollering about. It wasn’t like the top talent was flooding there

I will go to my grave saying that Belichick should have been put out to pasture after he benched Butler in SB52.
After Nelson Agholor torched Chung a SS: BB signed him in FA only to find out he really sucks.

Must remind Bill of the times Jordon did this to him:

I thought this was funny even though

A) The score has changed, and
B) The age difference is actually quite a bit worse than the above states

Almost 50 points dropped on Bill’s head. TCU is the better team so a loss wouldn’t have been damning but 50 ****ing points. Damn that’s an embarrassment.

Especially for the hype. This was supposed to be their "Deion Sanders" game. Everyone was checking this out and now I can't imagine they get much attention going forward. They'll be the ESPN talking heads ripping him for a week. But then the NFL season will start and UNC will be in the back mirror

Maybe this will quiet down the hype.
Would love to hear what Michael Jordan and Lawrence Taylor think about this.

Bill was 85-102 without Tom Brady. He is is now 85-103 without Brady. To compare, Jimmy Johnson was 41-36 without Troy Aikman. Johnson was 84-36-3 in college.
