Bill fire OC Greg Roman

The Bills were on the verge of becoming credible when they hired Rex. And now, they are safely irrelevant again in the division.

When they signed Tyrod Taylor to a big new contract I actually laughed out loud.

Totally Agree!
I saw Bill's Fans fed up with his BS. It's 'Put Up or Shut Up' Rex's act is old.

Ryan inherited a stacked Jets team with Darelle Revis at his absolute peak. Then he proceeded to drive that team into the ground for the next five years.

And I believe, the Rats drafted a defensive player in the 1st round every year Rex was there.

If Rex was this great defensive coach, then he could make lesser players work on defense while adding the elite offensive players to an offense badly in need of it.

Word came out this morning that the Pegula's(both of them)had a players only meeting with certain offensive players, Taylor included, after the loss to the Jets. If true Rex is in deep sh!t, as is the franchise as a whole. This would mean they called for the firing and any time owners start making these kinds of decisions the franchise is screwed. The best decision Robert Kraft ever made, other than hiring Belichick, was to hand complete control of all football operations to Belichick. Meddling owners ruin franchises, just ask any Cowboys fan.

Friday’s decision to fire Bills offensive coordinator Greg Roman was preceded by something unconventional, to say the least.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, owners Terry and Kim Pegula met with offensive players (like quarterback Tyrod Taylor) on Friday morning. Per the report, coach Rex Ryan was not present for the meetings — and he wasn’t happy about it when he learned that the owners had met with his players.

Report: Bills owners met with offensive players without Rex Ryan present

I think they were fed up with it early last year. Bills fans want to win and rex can't ride two afc championship game appearances when he's on a different team

Rex is a classic charismatic leader who ratchets up the emotions of his players which works...initially. But that wears thin once adversity and better schemes hit. Never a good sign when ownershi is doing things behind your back... Great sign for the Pats though as meddling owners never succeed. Ask Kraft about that.

Yeah, that was part of his driving the Jets into the ground, his bad drafting.

Yup, and not only did he regress with what they were building starting last year, they hire rob as DC. Classic! Can't make this stuff up.

I know people keep saying it, but Rob is not the defensive coordinator.

True, he's an impersonator pretending to be one. Wasn't he hired to be an ASSistant to Rex or some bogus title?

Dennis Thurman is the Bills D.C.. Rob was hired to be assistant head coach.

I remember seeing that signing but just take it for granted seeing Rob pacing sidelines as DC.

Yeah.... I don't know the level of his input (how hands on he is), but I know that he doesn't have the D.C. title, and I know that Rex said he (Rex) would still be the one "drawing up the menu" with regards to playcalling, after Rob was hired, and as late as this summer.

Q: Rex, having just talked to Rob and Dennis today, I just wanted to ask you again, how are you distributing responsibilities and roles from a defensive standpoint, including yourself?

A: I think it’s pretty well established what we’re doing. It’s just we don’t need to, in my opinion, broadcast everybody’s specific thing, it might even be a competitive reason. But make no mistake, it’s a collaborative effort, and not just with my brother and Dennis. Obviously, Dennis and I will be the primary focus, but it’s all of our coaches. It’s Tim McDonald, it’s Ed Reed’s input, it’s Mike Giuliani’s, Bobby April’s. Everybody will have input but when it comes to making the call, I’ll make the calls.

Rex, Rob, and Dennis Thurman provide some clarity, and more mystery, of roles

So, unless that's changed (I'm not watching the NFL until week 5), Rob's been taking a lot of unfair criticism from media and fans alike, and Rex is the one who should be getting bashed for that Jets offense having its way against the Bills.

Spot On Points Deus. Bottom Line, this has Rex's finger prints all over it. Jets putting up those numbers on him falls on him.
