Bill fire OC Greg Roman

Since that organization looks dead in the water, we should start looking to poach some of their players, like we do with Cleveland.

We should have grabbed Marshall from Chi'town during fire sale.

Seriously.

Good ole boys network. I'm sure they'll be out of work this off season and some idiot team will hire them at DCs

I'll give it to Rex when it comes to DC, knows his stuff BUT HC, NO WAY! Lets see I lost count on how many times we abused Rob with his defenselesses teams.

Taylor staying in the pocket and trying to make short throws over large DL is a huge advantage for defenses.
A huge win for Comedy though!

Nah. Prima dona WRs don't fit here. Especially ones that come up small when it matters most.
Marshall has never been on a playoff team in his career.

It's all hype no substance to Rex as a defensive coach.
I posted this in the other thread

Look at the record and ignore the hype.
Points allowed ranking since 2011
20
20
19
24
15 (taking over the exact same defense that was 4th the year before)

His last 2 jets teams set an all time NFL record for the fewest take ways ever by any team in a 2 year span. They had 28 combined in 2 years and Bowles took over and they had 30.
The bills set a franchise record for most sacks the year before he arrived and set a record for fewest his first year.

He is not a good defensive coach. He tells you he is and his father was so people buy into it.
"He creates exotic schemes" yup and they ultimately fail.

Was looking back at the highlights of last year's NE-BUF games and saw Chris Hogan make a nice catch along the sideline for a big gain against us and said to myself that BB must have taken out his pencil and wrote down his name right then and there.

Deep bombs aren't good offense?

I have already answered this question multiple times in thia thread go and read that.

One last time, the Bills were not able to move down the field at all in the first two games. And if you can't move the ball and have to be bailed out by low percentage plays, broken plays and turnovers then generally you will have a problem winning games over the entire season.

If you wanna be blinded by the shiny 30+ points they scored then do so.

Good research on his numbers but by NO means am I'm I buyin into Hype and I'm not confused by what '85 Bear's Buddy Ryan D did compared to Rex, I'm just going by what he did first couple of years With jets.
I'm not siding with him or jets just saying he turned them around in such a short time getting them in AFCCG like twice I believe. He had his Def ready to go. He didn't win it all but from what jets were, they certainly bought into it and kicked azz for him.

Now as for Buffalo he inherited a Def that was promising and did/is underachieve.

I don't care. Roman was on the team last year, they could have replaced him off season. Dumping your OC the second game is an admission that you failed. You hired someone who didn't fit your philosophy, or you suck and your looking for a scapegoat, or [has been said] your owner is making you fire a coach, which is the worst possibility.

I'm hardly an advocate for long passes, but when you make them and score...WTF?

He did have a good d for 2 years. He has had a average or below d for the last 5.
That is not what a "great defensive coach" does.

Great defensive coach is a bit of a stretch. I said I gave him credit for what he brought to jets from where/what they were. As for last 5 yrs he was on jets for 3 and I wouldn't exactly call their D slouches. Their Offense, yes and again as a HC an F.

Exactly! If he came here he wouldn't be a Prima'dona. Lockerroom wouldn't allow it let alone BB. Either he buys in 'Patriot Way' or he's on his way. Worth looking at for a 5th rd pk.
As for Marshall never being on a PO team, then our Org would be best place to start. I mean if he was stupid enough not buy into it, then he deserves to be on Inside NFL* full time.

Well they were in the bottom 3rd in the most important category, points allowed, set an all time record for takeaways in a 2 year span so I would say they were slouches.
Not sure what Ryan defense has done 2011 and on that would qualify as good.
But you seem to have a set opinion so we can move on

Ryan inherited a stacked Jets team with Darelle Revis at his absolute peak. Then he proceeded to drive that team into the ground for the next five years.

The Bills were on the verge of becoming credible when they hired Rex. And now, they are safely irrelevant again in the division.

When they signed Tyrod Taylor to a big new contract I actually laughed out loud.

Firing the OC after Week 2 just reeks of incompetence. What could they possibly have learned about Greg Roman that they didn't know or see before now? The timing has all the hallmarks of a political ****storm.

Good luck preparing for your opponent if you're spending all your time preparing to do battle with the members of your own franchise.

Yup I do, as do you. We agree to disagree.
