Belichick not planning to stop as he enters 70s

After previously saying he didn't plan to coach into his 70s, Bill Belichick, who will reach that age in April, said he still wants to coach the Patriots in 2022.

Rebuilding takes time AND PATIENCE. Bill always takes the long view.

When he's gone you'll really get a taste of long term mediocrity.

How does Bill demote/fire his son if he isn't cutting it?
If Steve succeeds, he will only be viewed as riding his dad's coattails.

Recently watched some YouTube videos (a Football Life, Do Your Job, etc.). Steve has been by his side from a young age, taking notes and doing scut work. I don't feel like he hasn't spent enough time, or not paid his dues....that he got his shot from Daddy. To me that's too convenient a take. Low hanging fruit.

I think it would be in Steve's best interest to get on with another organization to remove any doubt about his talent/knowledge.
