Bill’s first offer…

Bill must have no other option. Atlanta has no defense & no QB. They may have less talent than the Pats. Bill will be lucky to break the wins record before he's run out of town.

Why McDaniels or O'Brien would follow him there is beyond me. At least NE is likely to have Maye or Daniels to work with.
There are dumb takes, and then there's this.

They have more talent on offense, but not on defense.

I think both teams could be 10-6 next year. OR BETTER.

If one or both teams get a real QB.

He doesn't have as many choices as we thought he would.
Agreed. He's in his second meeting with the falcons. So that is his likely destination. However they don't have a winning QB? Wouldn't it be something if he went there and traded for Zapp .

They have a couple of young players on defense who are pretty talented, just haven't made a name for themselves yet.

LOL--word I hear through a box owner down there (OK, from an immediate family member who always sits in that box), Belichick has wanted Atlanta all along. Smoke and fire. Here it comes.
If BB wanted Atlanta all along why did BB wait until it was clear he had no other options before taking the job?

Last week the AJC was reporting that Bill didn't want the Atlanta job, but might reconsider if he had no other option.

Wasn't Bill the DC of the Pats team that lost that SB in 96?

It's funny how some fans here already have Bill winning a SB and turning a franchise around in spite of his poor coaching the last 4 years.
Bill was the secondary coach and Groh was DC I think?

Wasn't a great day for the secondary with Milloy beaten on a long TD to Freeman and Rison juked Otis and beat him by 5 yards on another one.

Without the QB, the record is self explanatory. However we have some posters on here that ignore that and point to the 6 superbowls. Atlanta has an owner with deep pockets and doesn't mind spending.. Bill will be the HC, however I'm sure he'll be "consulted" with roster decisions. Don't we see falcons at home this upcoming season? However who's his QB? Will he trade for Bailey Jones?

I believe he is finding out that teams are putting deep thoughts into either moving away from thier Current coaches or hiring Bill for a short term rental. I'm curious to see who Bill gets as his QB. Will be a great game this season we play ATLANTA.

If Atlanta gets Cousins, are we sure they win that division? TB is still stacked on offense with good players on D. Mayfield has shown he can be very good with those weapons.

If Atlanta moves up to take Daniels or someone else, no rookie QB has ever won a SB. Heck, Warner & Brady are the only first year starters (not rookies) to win the big game.

Blank must be giving Bill some assurances they will get a QB and make key additions. Because I don't foresee a 72 year old going to another rebuilding project.

It has nothing to do with Belichick or choices. Everyone in the NFL knows he's signed, sealed, delivered to Atlanta. Dallas knew this, everyone else did.

Well. We play ATLANTA next season, so it's going to be a nice chess match the student and the master.

Today I learned... Jerry Jones prefers to be a dramatic mess to stay relevant... winning play offs are for suckers... especially when you get just as much press if not more for losing.

Bill Belichick is a glutton for punishment.
Not to be mean to the patriots... but they weren't the franchise they are now before he landed the job...

Capturing lightning in a bottle, twice, is a hard task.

I will be watching... here's to hoping Bill can get his record and take the dirty birds on some play off runs.

It's a perfect union for Bill the next 2 seasons they will have 7 wins, and in the NFC south so he will likely see a playoff berth with 7,8 wins.

Agreed Bill helped grow this franchise in wealth and popularity over 20 plus seasons.

There it is again. BeliCHEAT, the stain that will be on the Cheatriots forever. Thanks Bill.
Stop being such a snowflake
that whole thing was the NFL punishing the Pats for violating parity. The rest of the league was convinced the Pats had to be cheating to sustain such competitive dominance so they had to find something whether it was real or not.

Oh ok. Thanks for the clarification
Yeah the NFC South is in the rotation for our division in 2025. This coming season it's the NFC West.
