Big game for the front 7

The key to this win is pressure. Get manning off his spot and he will make poor decisions. If they pull a SD and get no pressure at all..most of us can agree we won't have a good chance at winning.

Jones and Ninko will be key as will the entire front 7. Hopefully BB has some nice blitzes dialed up. I hope they blitz often as well )depending on how the DBs are holding up in coverage)

Coverage sacks would be nice. But if they sit back and give manning all day to throw..it won't matter how many are in coverage

I hope CJ, jones, siliga and ninkovich can get pressure. Manning will burn us with blitzes, unless a slot corner blitz once.

Don't forget that Belichick will sometimes blitz a lb and then drop Ninkovich into coverage, so we still have 7 deep...

I don't even expect that Pats to have a Front 7 very often. I believe they will play most of the game in nickel with 5 DBs, just as they did (successfully) in November. 11 minus 5 leaves a Front 6.

Right. Front 6 today. Ninko and Chandler Jones have to come up big on the pass rush. Might need something from Andre Carter or Michael Buchanan too. Warm day and will have to keep them fresh.

Pats D needs to get not only pressure but HITS on Manning today early and OFTEN. The guy still has a high ankle sprain and is even LESS mobile than he usually is. We need to rattle this guy's cage and knock him on his ***** ALOT today to win this game. If he can sit back there all day with the weapons he has he will pick us apart. This game will come down to the DEFENSE....and not only good D....but Bone rattling sacks on the Forehead...and hard hits and GOOD tackling everywhere else.....If we can keep this guy on his a## and off the field....Pats win the game decisively!!! GO PATS!!!!

Yeah, he isn't going to be escaping the pocket so hopefully it's 1 gap pressure with the front 4 - we all know Ninkovich and the Jones' can get to the QB so let them go for it. RELEASE THE HOUNDS!

Just like the earlier meeting the pats I believe will get pressure and hit manning here and there. The secondary will be the main reason why. I expect a lot of WR jammings to make manning hold onto the ball longer then he wants to. I believe in this secondary, besides SEA, NE has the players to line up and say...come on and beat me.

I posted in another thread the weakest link in the offense is C Manny Ramirez ... I expect the D to rush hard right up the middle.

Manning will do what good quarterbacks do. He'll get the ball out before the pressure gets there. I think to get hits on quarterbacks like that its more about downfield coverage than the d-line. Of course it does take both.

Manning will do what good quarterbacks do. He'll get the ball out before the pressure gets there.

That's fine. We don't have to have sacks (though they'd be nice), we need pressure to force early throw, bad throws and a scared Manning.

In general, the Pats have to be more physical than the Broncos. Do to them what the Ravens did to us last year.

I believe we're the more mentally tough team, and the more physically tough team. We need to show it. Generally, toughness wins this time of your.

Manning throws the ball away way to quick to get and sack him frequently. Pats will play the same basic defense. rush 4, drop 7 flood the middle and have them beat you with decker and thomas on the outside. I wont be surprised if they put Talib on J Thomas, dennard on D thomas , ryan on decker and double welker between arrington and collins. Denver will be asked to run a lot. will they do it on a great day to throw the ball weather wise unlike the foxboro is what remains to be seen.
