Again - he was injured, and stuck behind Brown, Branch, and Givens in 2003, Branch, Givens, Brown, and Patten in 2004, and then Branch, Givens, Brown, Dwight, and Davis in 2005. Now, he'll have the #5 spot to himself and Bam will probably get the much existent #6 spot on the Pats' offense.

Sorry. No one gets "stuck" behind Tim Dwight & Andre Davis. As a WR Bethel=TURD.

He was actually active for 9:

He was in every goal line set I saw in those games. I should have been more specific.

* I was a little suspicious of that myselk figuring when Seymour was out he must have been active for some of those games. He wasn't for each of those though. In 2 games he was active, he apparently didn't play:

Inactive 8 games. In 2 he was active he didn't play. In the other 6 games
he saw the field, buit I don't know in what capacity. I do know he only
registered on the stat scale in 2 game.

Klecko - never should have been here in the first place; certainly a goner now. Sadly he competing with Smith and Thomas for the developmental 7th DL spot.

Hill - He was a 3-year project. He also has almost no chance of playing time. He is the #4 DE. We suit up three (plus the LB's who play DE). One option is for him to learn to play NT, and do something useful by replacing Wright on the depth chart. After all, all the other DE's play NT are solid NT's. Hill does need to eventually develop, but he does have another year, barring injury.

Bethel Johnson - I'm not one who has Childress penciled in to replace Bethel Johnson as a kick returner or on special teams. Let's be clear. They are competing for the #5 receiver position. Neither one will catch many passes. The key to that position is the ability to be a top special teamer. Many here have Andrews beating out Johnson for the returner spot (and he won't catch any passes). I don't buy it, but time will tell. Bethel Johnson is a top defensive Ster, and should make the squad.

In what capacity do you expect him to contribute? There simply are BETTER PLAYERS AHEAD OF HIM!

In a 16 week season there will be chances for him to contribute if he is ready to do it. They were there last year when Seymour missed 4 games. The D line was playing terrible and if he was good enough to play, he would have gotten some time then. Hill just couldn't do it.

It is unlikely that Seymour and Warren both stay healthy for 16 games this year. It would be great but it is not likely. Injuries happen. If Hill isn't ready to contribute as a role player (3rd DE) in that situation, what is the point of continuing to bring him back year after year.

Playing a 3 man line is exhausting. They really should be able to rotate green and 1 or 2 more in.
