Brady is hitting some pretty rare air right now. He's become like Michael Jordan in that his name is synonymous with winning.

I was thinking about the Jordan comparison, too, and perhaps how maybe some fans around the country feel the same way about Brady as I did with Jordan.

I was young in which I first started really following basketball the year after the Bulls won two straight championships (1993 I think). The Bulls with Jordan were the darlings of the league while I rooted for them to be knocked off. I actually liked the Barkely/Kevin Johnson/Marjele/Ainge Phoenix Suns so it was obvious to me to root for the Suns over the Bulls. But gosh darnit, Jordan wins again.

I was a fan of the Kemp and Payton combo when they played teh Bulls in the finals so naturally I was disappointed when the Bulls beat them. I had no allegiance or fandom to the Jazz when they played the Bulls but rooted for them just to see underdog prevail (and I suppose it was a good story of the two long time NBA greats Stockton/Malone trying to get their first title).

So to sum it up everytime Jordan was in the finalized I rooted against him. He really got under my skin as he was beating my teams but then finally (it was like a light switch turned on) I couldn't help but admire his overall body of work. Now I actually own DVDs of highlight reals of Jordan. It's funny, I like him much more now after the fact (in retirement) than I did when he was playing.

I wonder if some fans have finally turned the corner on Brady. Like perhaps even those life long Peyton Manning fans can finally throw in the towel and be in awe of what Brady has done.
