I'd bet it's a conditional 7th for a camp body while Barker's out. The pats already have 4 tackles who should be expected to make the final 53, can't see them needing another on the roster unless they 're considering kicking one of them inside.

Unless this could potentially save a roster spot by making Hooman expendable?

After all, one of the tackles can play TE in the blocking role almost as good as Hooman--at least I'm guessing. It isn't like he's catching many passes either way.

It would be nice. But to get that would take a Tom Brady defamation suit against the league and use "give us the picks back" as leverage to settle or R Kraft suing the league after Brady is vindicated. After seeing how difficult it is to get Brady's suspension vacated, I can't imagine what a defamation lawsuit would look like.

My immediate thought was "Cannon Replacement".

I don't think Cannon will get cut because of the contract he signed last year. But maybe IR?
