Davante Adams wants to be traded, but Bill Belichick believes trading the wide receiver could prove to be difficult if the Las Vegas Raiders don’t come down on their reported asking price of a second-round pick.

He's also the same guy that traded a 4th for Randy Moss which no other team would do better. However, it didn't matter as Randy blocked the Raiders initial trade to Green Bay because he only wanted to play with Tom Brady.

With that said, Bill wouldn't do it because of the salary.

Adams will only get a 4th at best with that contract. A second is a pipe dream. Maaaaaybe a low 3rd round pick.

BB traded for Sanu, it was a stupid trade and I said so at the time.

That being said he had a star QB who was pouting on the sidelines despite his team being 7-0 at the time. He was pouting because he put his neck on the line for Antonio Brown and the team had to cut him because he was about to get suspended.

That team was in the midst of a title hunt and wanted to make Tom happy. Tom wanted name WR’s and Sanu had a reputation. It was a mistake by both Tom and Bill. Tom should have trusted and relied on Jakobi Meyers, BB shouldn’t have bent over backwards to make Tom happy… there’s a limit.

Adam’s wants a new contract, Sanu didn’t need a contract. This is what fans like you don’t understand. The Patriots had no problem trading for a player, even a WR like Moss or Brandin Cooks. What they refused to do was trade valuable draft capital for a player they then had to turn around and make one of the highest paid players in the NFL.

That’s dumb ^ it’s bad business. You just paid twice for the same player. Pay the player, or trade for the player… don’t do both.
