I liked Polk right from the beginning of the draft process, but started focusing more on some of the guys who went late first, early second as the draft got closer, but now that they have him I’m happy about it. He’s a guy who will bring it every play, and they need to build a roster full of those guys. Baker I think is going to be more of a hit or miss prospect, but he certainly has the confidence you want, Wallace is similar to the situation they have at LSU right now, where they have bookend tackles, with the left tackle, Will Campbell, is expected to be the first tackle off the board, but their right tackle, Emery Jones, is thought to be almost as good as Campbell, and will also go early in the draft. Can Wallace make the switch, we will see? But I don’t think he was the reach some here believe he was, I think they had him in the same tier as Paul and Sumataia, and we’re confident they could go WR at 37 and still get their LT. And even if Wallace doesn’t make it at LT they should be able to fill that in the first round in 2025, move Wallace to RT, and Onwenu back inside. So overall I’m happy that they addressed their needs significantly, and will be able to really fill the roster out in free agency and the next draft.
