Belichick joins Inside the NFL

It is still hard to believe Bill is out of coaching football and regulated to being a media mogul.
I think more than ever he has coached his last game. Dunno if it’s his new squeeze but he has the look of someone who doesn’t miss the grind all that much.

A point which has been debunked numerous times already. He said he didn't require total control. I doubt he had it in New England. Look at the draft we just had.

He absolutely had it here. And I love the draft they just had. If Belichick were still here he would have traded out of 3 and Bailey Zappe would still be the starter.

He didn't have it here in the last years. Kraft is on record. But more tot he point, Blank said Belichick told him expressly he didn't require control and that he'd be happy to work with the front office. I'm not sure what we're even debating here. This isn't a mystery at all, though some on this board want to make it so.

Belichick used his top 15 picks and got premium players. Look at the record: Seymour, Warren, Mayo, etc. He traded down out of the last quarter of the 1st round, where the values all became 2nd rounders.

For where we were picking in this last draft, we ended up with little value. At the top of every round. Something we haven't seen around here since 1993.

First of all I said he had it here, not that he was still requiring. Second all Kraft said was that he wanted more collaboration, Belichick was still clearly in charge. And third I love this draft. You can hate it all you want but like everyone else that’s just your opinion. Whether it was great, terrible, at anything in between we won’t know until a verdict is in on Maye.

I love Maye. I was talking about the guys who came after and where they were picked. Sure they might be decent players, but drafting so high you expect more.

I liked Polk right from the beginning of the draft process, but started focusing more on some of the guys who went late first, early second as the draft got closer, but now that they have him I’m happy about it. He’s a guy who will bring it every play, and they need to build a roster full of those guys. Baker I think is going to be more of a hit or miss prospect, but he certainly has the confidence you want, Wallace is similar to the situation they have at LSU right now, where they have bookend tackles, with the left tackle, Will Campbell, expected to be the first tackle off the board, but their right tackle, Emery Jones, is thought to be almost as good as Campbell, and will also go early in the draft. Can Wallace make the switch, we will see? But I don’t think he was the reach some here believe he was, I think they had him in the same tier as Paul and Sumataia, and were confident they could go WR at 37 and still get their LT. And even if Wallace doesn’t make it at LT they should be able to fill that in the first round in 2025, move Wallace to RT, and Onwenu back inside. So overall I’m happy that they addressed their needs significantly, and will be able to really fill the roster out in free agency and the next draft.

I'm a Penn State alum and fan and have watched Wallace play for 4 years now. I was thrown back for a loop when I saw the pick.

Reality is setting in he ain't getting another HC Job because no owner would give him Total control based on his Abysmal Patriots end.
Why would he take any job that jeopardized the $25 Million he's supposedly getting from the Pats to not coach anywhere?

Then you know far more about him than I do.

Let's consider who the executive producers are:
Wanda Sykes, George Lopez and Lewis Black

Let's consider who the panel consists of:
Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, Jay Cutler, Chad Johnson, Chris Long

Let's consider the network: CW
Zero live sports, and I couldn't name a single show they air.

I've never seem it, and even with Belichick on it I can't fathom a reason to watch it (unless I'm in the mood to see a train wreck).
Inside The NFL was a great show when I started watching it. It was a one hour show with 45 minutes of game highlights and 15 minutes of talk from Len Dawson and Nick Buonoconti. Since then it became 15 minutes of game highlights (if that) and 45 minutes of talk from a collection of players who are either nobodies or have trouble speaking coherently.

I think this shows been around for a while? I remember years back when Bob Costas hosted it. If it is the same inside the NFL it was a great show years ago.

I got into it when Bob Costas was the host.

The name is the same, but to me it is a completely different show now.

All BB needed to be relatable enough to their audience was a 24 year old girlfriend. You need money to pull tail and the boomers have the dough. It all makes sense.

How can you love this draft and not like the two drafts before it? They have almost identical feels and even taking positions after runs already occurred. Hopefully we hit on all of the high picks or else we’re screwed.

What people here will miss about BB is when we have 10 years of missing on QBs not having a guy like BB to leave group think behind and trade out when his own evaluations say “sure this is the best QB in the draft class but he isn’t NFL caliber” and make the trade out. Trading out takes conviction.
