It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I don’t think some of these people watched Patriot games back then.Actually he was. There was Brady vs Manning debates every time they went head to head in their early years beating his teams 5 straight times. Tom had 3 rings by 2004 and had the most rings of any QB currently in the NFL by his 4th year as a starter. To think Tom was just some random dude during those years either has a really bad memory or just flat out being disingenuous.
The media was really getting on Manning and the Colts because they kept losing to Brady and the Pats. The rivalry got very heated and took a turn by 2005 when the Colts poured it on the Pats on MNF.
The no-trade clause prevents him from being traded against his will. The entire scenario is dependent on all parties having interest. Team X wanting him, him seeing the potential in trade X, Kraft getting compensation, not having to pay him, and not having to fire him.I am of the firm belief that Belichick has a no trade clause in his contract.
Where he goes will be up to him ... If he stays of course up to Kraft or mutually.
With their cap space ... it is a great time to part ways ...
You guys realize that coaches can’t be traded like players right? It’s not like Kraft can call Bill tomorrow and tell him that he’s been traded to the Jets.I am of the firm belief that Belichick has a no trade clause in his contract.

Yeah, sure pal. I've been watching the Pats since Plunkett to Vataha was a thing. The Pats won all the early match-ups with the Colts with Brady v Manning and BB game-planning and the DEFENSE were getting all the credit (at least one game with 2 pick-6's and the 4 pick game...Brady was efficient, was great in at least one, but he wasn't getting the credit.I don’t think some of these people watched Patriot games back then.
Brady was 3rd in 2003 in MVP voting with 8 votes so I'd say he was in the conversation already. Technically got the second most votes since McNair and Peyton were co MVP. Another 3rd in 2005 with 10 votes. Brady didn't get any votes in 2004 because Peyton had that record breaking season and he was 1 short of unanimous.Yeah, sure pal. Go look at the voting for MVP and OPY. Brady wasn't in the conversation until 2005 - Manning had won MVP twice. That's what I was talking about. I'm not rewriting history and I'm not dissing Brady. For the first 2-3 years (note that I said "couple" in the earlier post), he wasn't being given the accolades anywhere near to Peyton and some others. Belichick was and that defense were, and the gutsy "game manager" was quietly just winning.
Again, just go look at the voting, MVP and OPOY. You don't see Brady's name until 2005, I believe.
I don’t think he can be traded since he’s the GM. It’s a conflict of interest in itself. He would need to be removed from his role as GM first, and then an interim GM would need to negotiate a trade. So yes, it’s basically a no trade cause by its nature.I am of the firm belief that Belichick has a no trade clause in his contract.

Okay, so when I said a "couple years," I must deserve scorn from the Bradystan crowd, I guess. 2001, 2002...couple. And even in 2003, he wasn't a leading contender for the MVP.Brady was 3rd in 2003 in MVP voting with 8 votes so I'd say he was in the conversation already. The “Brady was carried by his defense” schtick was a pathetic media narrative perpetrated by an NFL that had prematurely knighted Manning the best QB ever and needed a cope because Brady kept ****ing smashing him and winning Superbowls despite being drafted 199.
You’re an idiot and a Colts narrative shill.
Pro bowl, Super Bowl MVPOkay, so when I said a "couple years," I must deserve scorn from the Bradystan crowd, I guess. 2001
Led league in TD passes with middling supporting cast, 2002
Yet he finished 3rd in MVP voting...couple. And even in 2003, he wasn't a leading contender for the MVP.
Basically a Hall of Fame lock after SB39.And even then, in 2003, he wasn't being talked about as "generational"
Which is a silly theoretical…why would he have been drafted by the Colts? Here’s one: he gets drafted by the Rams in 2000 and then Kurt Warner blows his ACL. No, he gets drafted by the Ravens and they win 3 SBs with that historic defense. All these theoreticals just silly ways of making illogical points.- Manning was, and was winning MVPs, which is why I said at the beginning that if he had been drafted by the Colts
Don’t forget if he got hit by a delivery truck in 1998 he probably doesn’t even get drafted., he wouldn't have seen the field through his rookie deal, which he wouldn't have.
Considering his track record as GM recently, he might give himself away for free as a coach..........Belichick is literally the GM.

Cool story, bro. Now do: how would Manning have done early in his career throwing to Troy Brown, David Patten, and Daniel Graham instead of Marshall Faulk, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark?
Yeah I get why you don’t like to look at things that way.
This is a Patriots forum. If someone wants to rewrite Brady’s history as a low quality “game manager” despite it being so factually wrong, they should be all kinds of prepared for the disdainful corrections that come.************, you need to calm down. You're getting to a point where, even if you make a solid argument, it's draped in unceasing doom and annoying prods at those who don't agree. Nobody is gonna wanna listen. And before the whole "oh boohoo you can't criticize here," get real - plenty here do it and keep it kosher.
