BB dragged Jones out of the field with him at the end of the game

If the line doesn't improve than they need to put Hoyer out there.

You can't have a rookie getting the Andrew Luck treatment.
Btw, my condolences on your loss yesterday. That Herbert guy looking like the real deal and the Chargers defense is kinda nice.

Jonnu Smith and the run game(or lack thereof) would be top on my list of who to blame.
The run game is an issue because the line isn't getting any push, hell there were times when the line was so bad defenders were in the backfield by the time the ball hit Mac's hands. I'm wondering if Mac isn't varying his cadence enough or recognizing where the pressure is going to be coming from.

I don't think we should be micro analyzing every emotion this 23 year old kid has.

Had he come out after his Jr year he would of been the consensus #1 pick. But he stayed and had good but not great Sr year partially do to guys leaving and injuries to key guys. There was talk he could drop to the bottom of the first round. I was hoping that was true and the Pats would move up a few spots if necessary to grab him. But the Chargers grabbed him at 10.

Kid is good.

Jones looked absolutely broken on the bench at the end of the game lost in thought as everyone else was shaking hands on the field. I don’t know if he was crying but someone claimed he was. It was really unsettling.
Kinda like what Tom looked like after the MNF loss at KC in 2014.

Some players take losses extremely hard. Good.

Hopefully Mac learns from it.

All BB wanted to do was get the kid out of the situation.

Not sure he should have grabbed him by the hand but it was instinctual.

Whatever. A non-story.

If Jonnu smith catches half the balls thrown his way this is a different game.

I checked this thread out yesterday after a few beers and didn't understand what was supposed to be happening in OP's post. I am now trying to figure it out this morning and I am as sober as a judge. Bill touched Mac's hand and that is a bad sign? I don't get it.

Brady shuts down emotionally after loss: "This is what makes him so great."

Mac does the exact same thing: "Whiny baby, he needs to control his emotions, Bill has already ruined him!"

Yeah, my guess is Belichick just wanted to talk up his young QB after a tough loss. He clearly didn’t drag Jones off the field. That is ridiculous.
Uh does Belichick really seem like a positive reinforcement kind of guy to you?

I really don’t see it as a big deal.

Agree completely. He’s a rookie and I think Belichick is just letting him know that he can’t act like an INT. Is the end of the world. Anyone who doesn’t realize that there is a learning curve for young QB’s doesn’t actually follow the NFL.

One thing about Mac that I have noticed is he really does not provide any emotional spark to his teammates. I think he is focused on his own play that he does not realize that everyone is feeding off of him. I would have liked to see him get up in the grill of Smith a few times after some of those drops. That is the type of leadership and accountability this team needs.

He's a rookie lol.

Read Bill's lips.....
He clearly tells Mac: "Don't be too hard on yourself kid. Get in the locker room, clean yourself up, fulfill your media obligations, then come to my office and we'll watch Brady throw some hospital balls vs LA."

This was the soft part of their schedule. It gets much harder in the second half.
Buffalo offense against our defense if Allen's plays like yesterday and no Gilmore could get ugly. He put more than 40 on Washington's defense

our IOL against Vita Vea and Suh

I don't see what the fuss is about.

BB saving Mac from himself. Can't get too low on the lows or too high on the highs.
We already saw some of that from Mac this season. He's going game by game being harsh on himself. Can't live and die with each game... the lows can be really low and the highs can be really high.

I won’t point fingers at specific people, but go to the Tom Brady forum and you will see some there or any game day thread.
I do go there a lot and I still don't see anyone there cheering for Bill to fail. There might have been one but he hasn't posted here in months.
