Some team like Buffalo or the Eagles this year will bring him in to get over the top.

Maybe Andy Reid retires, and he takes over KC.

He's not going to win a couple of national championships in 3-4 years. You can already write off that happening this year. It's doubtful he wins any at all in the next 4 years. But let's just say he does, the absolutely earliest that could feasibly happen is in year 3 and 4 when the team is full of people who came for that program and he had time to develop them and potentially get them playing at an insane rate.

So now we are going from him coaching in the NFL at 75 to 77.

What team is taking a 77 year old coach on?

Right now his best bet to get back in the NFL is to have a huge upsurge this year in how UNC plays and hope there are enough openings that someone in the NFL is willing to roll the dice on him again. Meaning he would only be there for 1 year. Time is not on his side anymore.

Yeah, he was doing what he should be doing, keeping tabs on all opportunities even the ones he might not really want. If nothing else it gives him an idea of the market for his services and for those he might compete with for other jobs. NBD.

Didn’t she break the story about the Kraft productions video idiots filming the Bengals sideline? Thought it was her.

Quite a few sources are reporting this including Florio so I’m inclined to believe he did contact them and probably (hopefully) just to kick the tires on their situation… and the Jets leaked it as more than what it was.

I think if he was serious the Jets absolutely would have at least brought him in for an interview. That’s how they’ve rolled for years they’ll do anything to get headlines and features on the back page of the Post over the rest of the NY sports landscape. That for sure is a move that would get them there.

This is typical Jets. They have to make themselves look attractive even though they don't look any better at closing time.
You can compile a long list of top players or coaches who were "rumored" to be interested in the dream position of becoming part of the NY Jets franchise.
Of coarse BB was drooling at the prospects of being HC of the NY Jets. Of coarse the NY Jets turned their pretty noses up at the prospects of having the GOAT HC being their coach.
Also, Vince Lombardi and Bill Walsh were willing to come back to life to be HC of the NY Jets, but they were not worthy.

Either that or it’s a bad look for Bill. He wasn’t a good coach last few years. Team was undisciplined, ST and offense near bottom of the league last 3 years. Lost almost every close game we played in.

At some point you gotta stop blaming Mac and Kraft and accept the results as they are. Bill is the best coach ever but these last few years were bad and it got worse as the few good OL we had left.
