BB apologizes to Wuss Welker(satire)

Eh, could have been a lot funnier. I bet The Onion would have done a better job with that.

Where is Fitzy when you need him???

WW is like the guy who is still harping on his ex-girlfriend. You spent six years here and were well appreciated. You chose to move on to Denver when the $$ and length of contract couldn't be agreed upon. You're not the first, nor will you be the last.

You know, I wish Wes hadn't opened his mouth and whined.

That said, I don't feel like he's yet given us a "had to feed my family" line that's outright offensive to the 99%. And I do think it sucked he got benched over the foot comments, which made me love him more at the time.

I guess what I'm saying is, I wish we weren't already on board with calling him "Wuss Welker" just yet. If he runs his trap some more, sure, but for a player that will hopefully go into the HOF as a Patriot, it would be nice if we could give him a mulligan before labeling him this way forever.

Maybe I'm turning into a softy?

Will be a standing O for Wes when he enters Gillette..

I was just thinking the same thing. Sure thing the week he left. Not likely, I'd say, at this point. I expect to see some in a Welker jersey sporting diapers and pacifiers. If this happens, you heard it here first!

Real football fans appreciate the toughness and contributions of Wes Welker and will cheer him loudly. That accounts for maybe 35% of Gillette. The other 65% are pinkhats, newbies and wannabes who make up the quietest and most clueless crowd in the NFL.
Cheer Wes loudly when he comes to town. Don't embarrass yourselves...or us.

I feel like this won't be the last thing we hear from West involving the Pats.

He strikes me as just being honest. He hasn't said anything particularly damning. In fact, it's flattering how much in his head BB is (see other thread.) That comment about still worrying what Bill thinks about his on-air comments was great.

That said, I think that although in almost all respects BB has proven he totally outclasses Bill Parcel, Parcel gets the nod in how to deal with press treatment of wideouts:

"She'll be missed."

Leave Wuss alone. He's found a nice home with a nice coach and a nice QB who will never ride his ass. Now, he has the perfect opportunity to be at peace. Good for him.

Not that entertaining/funny.

I don't think what WW said was awful, however, it was unnecessary. Look, WW had a great run with the Patriots. Kraft, BB, TFB, WW himself, the fans all largely benefited from him being here. Yet the business side to football didn't work out to keep him here. Relationship is over. And now that it is, shut your yap WW and move on.
