Barkley to talk about BB on MNF

Jaws also described in vivid detailed how he and the Eagles won a playoff game by stealing defensive signals. LOL put an asterisk next to Ron's accomplishments.

Yea he used the example of his teammate throwing down a red towel to indicate the safety was going to vacate the middle of the field, and how huge an impact the sign stealing on that play/game.

Of course, I'm pretttty sure our Tommy would notice the safety vacate the middle of the field and leave an open receiver without knowing about it beforehand.

Belichick and Barkley are friends? How did that happen?

when BB was in cleveland they met through someone i think the cavaliers coach.

Jaworski also listed Tom Brady as the 3rd greatest QB of the modern era on Sports Center last night. 1 was Montana, 2 was Elway, 3 was Brady, 4 was Aikman, 5 was Bradshaw, 6 was Manning, 7 was Favre. Not sure I agree, but thanks anyways Ron.

I like Barkley, Kornheiser, and Jaws tonight.

"Iam not saying anything against my man Bill Belichick -Barkley" in response to some stupid fan mail kornheiser was reading..

What I found even more encouraging was that half-time was not taken up with spy-gate again. Seems to be dying a little bit. They did talk about how the Jets are now involved in another cheating matter - simulating the snap count.

They should add Sir Charles to the booth next season. I don't care about his lack of football knowledge. He's fun to listen to and seems to have an honest approach to whatever topic is being discussed.

Agreed, he was in the booth during the Cardinals/Bears game last year and he was great.
And he clearly was insinuating that everybody does this, so what is the big deal? You rock, Sir Charles :rocker:

I agree...but don't count on it. It should be obvious that the last thing ESPN, etal. want is an HONEST approach to any topic!!

I think if Charles wanted the job, he'd have it. I don't think he necessarily feels the need to be tied down with it.

LOVED his stuff about Parcells "You are what your record says you are" and how stupid it is when people say "we SHOULD'VE won that game" or "We should be 2-0." Tirico - who I generally think is AWESOME, by the way, very understated and pro, and just the right amount of ironic and fun - was arguing the counter, something about "if the Eagles hadn't muffed two punts, they would've won."

Without missing a beat, Sir Charles goes, "If I didn't eat so much I wouldn't be fat." Point made. Gotta love the round mound of rebound.

Is it just me, or did Sir Charles seem to have had a few at happy hour? Loved his stuff, though ...

I thought he was slightly tipsy, but he entertained me.

I have liked him since he came into the NBA. He's genuinely funny, smart, and honest.

the quality of some people...how many anti-Bill ever even thought to say they are biased before spewing their bs!

way to go Charles :rocker:

I knew Charles wouldn't be a basher....he's a friend of BB.

It's funny....BB obviously has many enemies in the coaching (and GM) ranks. But his friends are this group of really interesting people. I know I was surprised when I found out Barkley was a good pal.
