It's hard for me to separate the two. In this draft, I've missed out on Malcom Brown, but then I rated these two at about the same level I did Brown anyway so...VALUE.

As you can see, I'm pretty comfortable with our day three picks. As a 7th rounder, Marshall has the upside to compete in camp for a spot on the roster but isn't a terrible waste of a pick if it doesn't work out.

#253 Cassius Sendish, S, Kansas

He's pretty much everything Jordan Richards is. I don't see a big fall off in potential production between the two. I much prefer the value here.

04 ~ I would like to acknowledge, now, at the onset of this Year's BackDraft Season ~ as I have before, and will periodically do ~ that of course I recognize the enormous Advantage, relative to Mad Bill himself, that crafting a BackDraft affords all of us who choose to participate in it: Mad Bill and his Rivals are presumably working with only Educated Guesses, as opposed to actual Stone-Cold Knowledge, regarding the other Teams's Intentions, and must make all Picks & Trades based upon that. That is obviously a significant Advantage that we have, allowing us to know exactly how much Draft Capital we need to expend on each of our Binkies. So while it will be of course Irresistibly Inevitable for us to compare our own Hauls to Mad Bill's in the Future, I believe we ought always keep this Advantage in mind.

05 ~ Even so, it's also fair to note that, in every other regard, Mad Bill's Information is vastly superior to ours: Coach's Tape, Inside Information, Expert Advise from Scouts and Coaches, Facial Interviews where you get to look the guy in the eyes when he talks, to say nothing of Years of Experience, the capacity to devote one's Time to evaluating these Decisions...and a NetWork of Spies, to sniff out the other Team's Intentions!! One could make a very strong Argument that these Advantages more or less equally balance out with our one enormous Advantage. But of course there is also the fact that we can simply reap the benefit of Mad Bill's Expertise and simply Cut & Paste his Moves into our own, as I for one would've done, quite shamelessly, in the wake of Digging Deeper into Chandler Jones's Resume back in 2012!!

Here's my attempt to show I'm smarter than Bill Belichick

1. Love the Malcom Brown pick. DT and CB were my top 2 priorities.

2. Hated it. Give me Tevin Coleman. Didn't like the corners here.

3. Love the trade back.

3. S. Nelson - CB instead of G. Grissom

4. T. Flowers - DE - Always need pass rushers fine.

4. T. Jackson - G - Need a g. I might have went for J. Douglas. Have to trust Scar here.

4. S. Mason - G - Boogity, boogity, boogity!

5. Kenny Bell - WR - Don't trade back. And, don't take a GD long-snapper.

6. M. Wells - OLB - Seems like a good pick. Don't know a lot about him.

6. A. Chickillo - DE - Basically, another pass-rusher instead of Grissom

7. Didn't trade back from 5

7. D. Roberts - CB - Again. Seems like a really good pick.

Basically , I'm taking Coleman/Nelson/Bell instead of Richards/Grissom/Derby/Navy guy. I didn't see a big need for a TE or SS.

As an FYI, I watched a replay of the Texas/Arkansas bowl game. Malcolm Brown played well. When he was out, they got mauled. Seemed like they knew he was gone and wanted to get some yutes a little experience. They played him a little at end in a 3-4, he wasn't as effective there. Looks like a 4-3 dt who is excellent vs the run with enough athleticism to get some pressure.

Trey Flowers and Arkansas defense dominated UT. He was really good at setting the edge. He didn't get a lot of pressure on pass-rushing situations. They usually blitzed off the edge and came in un-touched. Texas may have been overly concerned with him. I think he can eventually be Ninko's replacement. Maybe, slide inside in a NASCAR package with Easley. Bring Grissom and Chandler Jones off the edges in obvious pass-rushing situations and late in games/halfs.

I will refrain from using 64 on Collins because no one had any idea what was going to happen. Would of been perfect LG and Solder or Vollmer insurance. I understand why they didn't take him though, although I'm sure some will second guess for the next 10 years.


32. Malcom Brown DT, Texas. Really like the pick and even more so after seeing his short area quickness.

64. owamagbe odighizuwa DE, UCLA. typical Giants pick. No brainer at 64 considering what was available.

96. TJ Clemmings LG, Pittsburgh. depending on medical I would say he was the perfect fit at left guard left on board, I like the Tre Jackson pick a lot, but am left wondering if he is a left guard.

97. Trey Flowers DE, Arkansas. PFF numbers are off the charts. (Thanks Manx) a great under the radar possible steal. 2 DEs this early you say? Yep, I'm hoping for a breakout year from Chandler Jones but I'm not willing to be strapped to the guy if he doesn't produce like a superstar. He has done very well and I'm a big fan but the Pats need contingencies with huge upside and Ozzy and Trey provide that.

101. Josh Shaw CB, USC. Gonna atleast take a stab here on a best available cb.

131. Shaq Mason G/C, Georgia tech. Loved this pick and so will the running backs. Great backup for Stork as well. Hope to see him at RG after he is acclimated.

178. Daryl Roberts CB, Marshall. Love this pick considering the round. Could be one of those special ones.

219. Joe Cardona LS, Navy.

#32 - I'm OK with the pick here because the value was too good to ignore, and I'm not a big fan
of the Siliga & (especially) Branch combo at Power DT. Had Brown been unavailable, I would've
likely chosen between CB Eric Rowe and LT/LG Jake Fisher.

#64 - Bill continues his streak (established in 2008) of literally throwing away a precious (except
to him) 2nd-rounder every year. I would not have considered this Richards bum draftable even at
#253. Because LG Ali Marpet (my first choice if available) was taken by Tampa through a trade-up
with Indy (thanks for nothing, Grigson - again), I would've chosen between either CB PJ Williams
or CB DJoun Smith, with WR Jaelen Strong a very, very Strong consideration.
My choice: DJoun Smith, in part just to steal the Clots' CB from under their noses, and also in part
because I don't trust Williams.

#97 - TJ Clemmings, the best OLman available and also one of the best players available regardless
of position. At worst, he's a legit Swing Tackle; at best, he's either our starting LG in 2015/16 or our
starting LT in 2016. Geneo Grissom is a 6th-round talent and would've been a target of mine only
at #253.

#101 - I'm OK with the pick here too. Flowers is stout enough vs the run and relentless enough vs the
pass to be the immediate #4 DE behind Jones, Ninko & Sheard.

#111 & #131 - WR Rashad Greene & RB Jay Ajayi, in either order. Had I known that WR DeAndre
Smelter would be taken at 132, then maybe I take him instead of Greene.
I don't like the Mutt & Jeff picks on OL at either 111 or 131. Tre Jackson is a lumbering, anti-athletic
blob who merely duplicates what Bill already has with Cannon & Fleming and who will never, ever,
ever play starting-caliber LG in the NFL. Mason's only NFL position is Center, so where does Stork
play, LG? He isn't nearly athletic enough to do that. Bill would've been better-served taking Mark
Glowinski, who at least has the athletic ability to be considered a possibility at LG.

#166 - Let me start firstly by stating that Bill got played for a sucker in the trade with GB. This is what
he should've said to Ted Thompson when he offered him 166 & 247 for 147: Either give us #206 (after
all, GB had 2 comp picks at the end of the 6th round), or give us your 6th-rounder next year + #247.
Otherwise, piss off.
Now on to perhaps the worst pick in the entire draft (besides…Jordan Richards): a god-feckin-damned
Long-feckin-Snapper. What an absolute disgrace, especially when DT Michael Bennett, aka the better
version of Dom Easily, was ripe for the picking either here or at 178.

#178 - Double-dipping at CB here with JaCorey Shepherd, who has more height/length that DJ Smith
and who also has the best hands of any remaining CB. Had I drafted PJ Williams earlier, then I might
have taken Ifo Ekpre Olomu instead, and PUPed him for the season in anticipation of his becoming the starting Slot CB in 2016.
Bill's choice of Matthew Wells could've waited until the 7th round or even the post-draft UDFA period.

#202 - WR Tre McBride, the best WR available and also one of the best players avilable regardless of
position. AJ Derby's body of work screams post-draft UDFA signing.

#206 - If Bill had a pair and insisted that GB give us this pick, then I would've taken LT Laurence
Gibson. Lots of height, length & athletic ability with which to work. I am ass-uming, of course, that
Shaq Mason is unavailable here or at #247, where I would've taken C/G BJ Finney if forced to pick.

#253 - Geneo Grissom, or Matthew Wells, or S Cody Prewitt, or LB Taiwan Jones, or LB/S Junior
Sylvestre, or LB Mike Hull, or LB Zach Vigil, or S Kurtis Drummond, or S Durell Eskridge…or, if I
must, even Jordan Richards.

Great Post, and I couldn't agree more!! Brown, combined with Easley, gives us the Potential for a phenomenal Thunder & Lightning Tandem at the very Core of our Defense for the next Decade, and with Flowers and Sheard joining Jones and Ninkovich, our Dragon Squadron ~ that's "Hybrid Defensive End & OutSide LineBacker" to you Earthlings ~ has never had so much Depth of Talent!!

Disagree with 2) Though I was surprised that Bill signed Browner in the first place, I would've kept him here for - dare I say it? - Continuity's sake.

Disagree with 3) There is nobody on the 90 even remotely close to replacing McCourty. Bill should've re-signed him during the bye week, likely for less than what he signed here anyway.

Agree with 4) Mayo was way over-paid, and should've been cut if he didn't agree to a re-structure.

Agree, kinda, with 5) I would much, much rather have Wilfork than Branch if the money's the same.

Agree with 6) Should've re-signed Ghost earlier during the season for less money, same as McCourty.

Agree, kinda, with 7) James White was a waste of a 4th-rounder, and Bill should've tried harder to re-sign Vereen during the bye week. Bill also blew it by not signing Roy Helu, because Travaris Cadet sucks.

Agree with 8) At least Amendola re-structured, so I can live with him at the updated price.

Completely, 100% agree with 9) 'Nuff said.

I won't be able to comment on each of your mock trades/picks because there's so darn many of them, but I will say that had DT Malcom Brown not been available at 32, then I would've gladly traded 32 to the NJG for 40, 108 & 245 as Tennessee did.

You also picked a lot - a whole lot - of the same guys I would've picked as per my earlier post.

I also liked a lot of the UFAs you would've signed, especially Wisniewski, Helu, Anthony Collins, Fairley & Dane Fletcher, in whose case I was disappointed that the other ex-TB LB was signed instead of him.
