Instant reaction to @BaconGrundleCandy 's grades.

I'm surprised you gave Fant a 1st round grade. Burns' is a guy you also gave a 1st round grade too but I was a bit lower on (2nd round). I'm starting to think I was wrong about him. The one thing I missed scouting him was his age (as I did for N'Keal Harry) so I'm thinking now I probably should have given both a higher grade.

You tend to hit your first round grades 95% of the time and you picked 13 this year so you might miss on one. I will stand by the belief that Fant isn't going to end up being good. He's probably too talented to bust completely but he may be one of your rare misses.

As for your 2nd round grades (Which you hit 2/3rds of the time). I'm super surprised you put Wilson - LB (IDK much about Cashman - LB), Thompson - S, Morgan - WR, Campbell - WR, and Banogu - DE in there.

I didn't see those grades coming. Particularly Wilson surprised me as I had him on my bust list so we were super apart there. I wonder what you saw that I didn't. Surprised you ranked Sternberger so low. I had him as a 2nd rounder and 3rd best TE overall.

Also thanks for giving my boy Warring some love! These were really interesting to read.

Appreciate the feedback Bob. I'm at work & the last few days/months tbh has been rough. I'll answer what I can now & def get back w everything. Before that, I hope you are a daily/weekly regular in the draft forum. Obviously contribute but I just hope to see you more.

As for Fant, he was an easy one for me. Young player. Not much he doesn't do well or can't be taught. Just really like his upside. Unfortunate landing spot but still a 1st Rd prospect for me.

Burns I really like. Hes just getting started. Has what can't be taught. Needs some work in his rush but not much imo & he's not a bad run defender. Sure he's not resetting or moving his man back 5 feet but there's so much more to the run game than "setting the edge". He understands he needs to make up for it w positioning himself into favorable angles & I do believe he'll get better there. Gives you chase & pursuit. And I really don't think he's terrible at holding his ground on the edge. Freaky athleticism.

Just to be clear Bamas Wilson? I don't think there's another but I'm all over the place rn. Started writing this 3 hours ago lol.

Love the feedback & thoughts though keep em coming.

Yes Bama's Mack Wilson. I just found him to look incredibly slow on tape. He seemed to me to be a very substandard athlete and I felt like he didn't have what it took to make the jump. Maybe if he had amazing instincts but I didn't love those either.

You got me 2nd guessing myself about wanting the Pats to draft Sternberger now. He was one of my binkies at TE but if you dislike him that much I'm not so hyped on him anymore as I'm sure you have your reasons.

I'll have this board pulled up for the draft tonight. A lot of 2nd round graded guys on your board are still left. I hope they stick to guys on it. Hard to argue with 2 out of 3 odds. Your first round guy Dalton Risner - OL is still on the board. I hope he falls to the Patriots for a insta pick at this point but I doubt it.

Tbh I'm surprised Wilson graded that high. I don't like him as much as my scale. Happens every year. Gave Josh Allen a 2nd last year & probably wouldn't have touched him until the 3rd if I was picking.
Anyway I actually agree w a lot of the criticism about Wilson. Poor to diagnosis but I believe if you get that fixed it also helps his robotic movements at times. Basically you get that fixed & you have a hell of a player. No feel in the run game but in coverage I see a player that just plays. Just flows & understands where to be.

As far as Strenberger I like him as a rec threat but question if he has enough bully in him to really make a living that way when guys, pros are punching him first, rerouting & getting physical. I dont see a guy who's contributing a ton as a blocker next level early on. Lots of work w his hands/placement, strength at poa & overall strength. He'll have to really excell as a rec threat to be a TE1/TE2 imo. He definitely could get there but I dont see it early on.

Btw I could just be as wrong about these 2. Like Carlos Henderson WR2, Charles Harris, Solomon Thomas (Elite/HOF prospect) & a bunch of others.

LOL I'm all over the place tbh & actually really appreciate it. Missed a few guys & thought, sh it I forgot my scale. Life these days. Again appreciate it!

Btw Warring is a bit of an enigma to me. So much potential there. Personally I dont know what to make of him but his peaks are high imo & could get better. Hands/blocking. Personally Idc if a WR/TE drops 5-10 balls a year if their producing everywhere else. Can't be great at everything.

Warring is new to the position. New to the sport. If he buys in I think he has a big time career. You watch you see a big time athlete that doesnt want to go down easy.

Surprised he graded as a 2nd but again his flashes were too good & he looks like a big ball of clay rn.

Been looking at 2020 potential prospects. Its April 2019 so a lot will change but if we get a few underclassmen QB, WR & RB look absolutely stacked.

Brought up Love before but hes definitely a PTP. Small town kid that came from nowhere seemingly.

Jordan Love & Desmond Ridder (RSO so he could easily stay)are 2 guys I really, really like a lot. See some Jimmy G in Love. Really poised. Everything is smooth, delivery, movements. Almost 3/1 TD/INT. + Arm. As for Ridder, I haven't seen touch/placement this good from a young QB in some time. Ridder's arm is legit. Funky style, footwork looks like it needs some work (Where have we heard this before?) His base & width often change but again like Mahomes he just makes it work whether its a side arm off his back foot or w/e Ridder has that "no, no, what are you do...YES"! Type style.
Seriously though his passes are insane. Slicing through 2-3 defenders. Perfect touch & placement along the sidelines/rz. Again only a RS SO so he has time but if he improves even slightly he'll get 1st Rd buzz. Also ran for 500+ I believe.

Really happy to Read this. Lil humble brag but been saying the same for a minute. Happy to see they look at "peak" performance as well & used Allen as an example of a big jump. Sometimes its nice to hear.

lol might help if I added the clip

What's worse?
Gruden's face or Mayock admitting this...

This post has been coming for a while now. The only reason I didn't make it sooner is because I wanted some more time to pass, but even in such a short amount of time it has become clear that @BaconGrundleCandy is one of the finest posters to ever grace this board. The sheer amount of information he has delivered to us in a mere 3 years has eclipsed mainstream websites supposedly dedicated to doing the same.

Not only has the amount of information he's given been more, the quality is unquestionably some of the highest you'll ever see. This is due in large part to the time he commits to research, film watching and his own very special ability to see someone the way no one else can. Everything he says about football carries an air of authority, as you know you're talking to a person whose invested a large amount of time into understanding every part of the game. However, he has a way to make such information easily accessible to those of us (like me) who are still learning the intricacies of certain things.

Not only has he dedicated his precious time to provide us some of the best (if not the best) draft content available. He has never demanded or asked anything for it. No subscription, no Patreon, nothing. In fact very much the opposite, one time he offered to pay me for doing a very minor break down of his his data. That's just the kind of guy Bacon is.

When you you read a Bacon thread, it isn't only the amount of post that you notice. It's the links, the information and the depth of content. You can clearly see the non-stop grind he puts himself through to inform all of us. No amount of likes or thanks can ever repay what Bacon has given this board, not the mention what I have personally learned from him as a football fan, and I know I'm not alone there.

So while knowing it can in no way ever pay back all the time he's given and all the enjoyment I have received from reading everything he post. I would like to again personally thank @BaconGrundleCandy once more and add him to my Hall of Fame signature. The fastest ever to be added, and I think it is clear why.
