It's easy, and only takes a few moments. In his press conference, the Astros owner stated that he "was lied to..."...I was surprised the Astros fired the manager. Probably received heat from the commissioner's office (they did not take on that responsibility).
...Player suspensions were needed as well. The Sox are in the same boat.
During MLBN's all-day coverage of the situation, one of the reporters mentioned that not handing out discipline any of the Astros players had more to do with the investigation not wanting to slide down the slippery slope of He said/He said for each & every player on the roster, and less to do with allowing the guilty ones to walk away scot-free...I smell what he's cooking, though as somebody who was specifically mentioned during the investigation, Carlos Beltran should still at the very least be fired by the Mets if their owner has a similar backbone to Houston's.Most likely not to upset the players union, especially with CBA negotiations around the corner...
Red Sox and Cora have mutually agreed to part ways.
Had to be done. I doubt he will get another job in baseball.
Oh he is done. I always thought he was a bit ****y for his own good. Oh well he gone now.
Did Cora just snitch on the Yankees and Beltran? Lots of nudge nudge wink wink here.
Either way strange that they never investigated Beltran. The Mets should do the same thing to him.
Nobody should really be surprised by this one...Tony the Lawyer is the godfather of the Steroid Error so it's logical that he would try any means necessary to cheat his way to more wins.
